The Best Power Metal of 2018 with Lovely from Lovely Talks Heavy

Greetings friends! It's that time of the year when metalheads the world over pour over magazines and blogs in order to get mad about someone else's completely subjective list of music they enjoyed. In the spirit of the season (and because I'm a masochist) I've decided to produce a series of podcasts covering all the major subgenres of heavy metal. This is going to take a month or two so I hope you're ready to hear a lot of good-ass music. On this episode of Full Metal Hipster you're going to hear my picks for the five best power meal albums of 2018. Crank that volume up and enjoy!

If you're an iTunes user, don't forget to subscribe to Full Metal Hipster, and leave me some good reviews/5 star ratings for God's sake! If you're not an Apple fanboy, you can stream or download each episode from my website FullMetalHipster.com, my Stitcher page, or on the podcast host site.

I live and breathe METAL!

Shayne is a great host and doesn’t mind reminding all of us that it is nerdy to want to talk metal all day every day. I live in a group home so metal is my therapy. Horns up for my favorite podcast!!

Lives up to the name

Yup. Shane is pretty vocal about his political leanings and progressive views-but I could care less either way. That's not what I'm here for. He's obviously VERY knowledgeable of a broad spectrum of metal sub-genres. I've only been listening for a short while-maybe a week or so-but I've already been introduced to some great music. Love that the podcasts don't drone on with fluff and BS. Straight to the point metal!

Highly recommended

Shayne knows his metal, and I love his open mindedness about mixing up various subgenres and embracing sometimes controversial genres like power metal (well, controversial to some folks). He's a good Twitter follow too! I appreciate any Metal Podcast that puts the music first and takes it seriously, not because I want the podcast to be serious in tone, but there's enough podcasts out there masquerading as metal podcasts which are really just loose, unfocused conversations between groups of well meaning metalheads that deal more with news topics and metal gossip. Full Metal Hipster is the opposite of that ---- keep up the good work dude, its appreciated! - The Metal Pigeon
