I have been a huge fan of Funko for about three years. Sometime around when I first started collecting, I searched for a Funko podcast I could listen to and found this one, the official one. I loved the chemistry between all the hosts, and the different segments, though random, seemed to flow really well and I enjoyed it all. And it never always felt like a Funko podcast, because although it had Funko elements thrown about, it was really about listening into the conversations of these wonderful people who worked at the company and learn more about them and the things they loved. They were each so welcoming to all. They all seemed very kind and fun on social media and from other people talking of meeting them, and I had the pleasure myself to meet Sully. And he was such a great guy, and so easy to talk to, and he was so kind. Every week I’d listen and I’d feel like I was laughing alongside them. And I was so sad to find out through social media that Cameron, Sulley, and Ashley (I’m not sure about the others) were let go from Funko. I was truly heartbroken, and brought to tears. I highly doubt we’ll get a true conclusive episode to the podcast, or if it’ll carry on without them (which they shouldn’t, and I’m not sure if I’d listen). Not only were these people staples to this podcast, but they were to the community and company as a whole. The excellent hosts and this excellent podcast will be greatly, greatly missed. I can’t wait to see what they do in the future.
