Daylight Savings and Catholic School Confessions

We made it to Episode 10 and we are way too excited about it. 🎉 This week’s episode of Funny in the Fire is full of chaotic stories, questionable childhood decisions, and the usual mom-life reality checks. We kick things off with Brittany explaining the gourmet buffet her dog Milli apparently enjoyed, which included an emergency stash of Zofran, an EpiPen, Tylenol, and Klonopin (because why eat dog food when pharmaceuticals are available?). From there we spiral into:• Daylight Savings Time and why everyone needs to calm down because somehow the kids are completely unaffected.• Brittany discovering Katie went to Catholic school her entire life and has some wild stories to prove it.• School picture day outfits and why parents treated it like the Met Gala.• Katie attending a religious retreat where people confess their most embarrassing stories.• Brittany getting asked to leave a Catholic school dance for dancing a little too enthusiastically.• The absolutely unhinged trend of boys “pantsing” girls in middle school (why was this allowed?!).• Growing up, peer pressure, learning boundaries, and saying no to shots.• The strange moment in parenting when you stop calling your babies by their actual names.• Katie turning her sister’s turtlenecks into tube-top dresses.• And the discovery of BINGO LOCO, which Katie may or may not be doing for her birthday. Basically: childhood chaos, parenting chaos, and the realization that we all survived somehow. 🎧 Follow us on Instagram: @funnyinthefire, @brittanyfindsthefunny, and @regardingkatie_📩 Email your embarrassing stories to: funnyinthefire@gmail.com Because if you can laugh about it… you’re probably Funny in the Fire. 🔥

    We survived the holidays...barely

January is the longest month of the year — especially when you’re six weeks postpartum, running on cold coffee, and trying to convince yourself that “new year, new you” doesn’t apply to sleep deprivation. In this episode, Brittany and Katie check in on the emotional rollercoaster of postpartum life — from adrenaline crashes and gaslighting yourself into optimism, to learning how to surrender to every feeling instead of forcing yourself into all-or-nothing thinking. They open up about the pressure to stay positive on social media, the fear of scaring pregnant moms with too much honesty, and why postpartum support groups can feel like actual lifesavers.Things take a nostalgic (and slightly unhinged) turn as they dive into childhood memories — Saved by the Bell car phones, old pregnancy apps, and Katie’s family VHS tapes that somehow include her five-year-old self being asked if OJ is guilty. They also talk sibling age gaps, the emotional debate over having more kids, and how marriage in the newborn stage looks a lot like whisper-fighting in the dark.Plus: NYC Christmas chaos, Rockettes crowds, Frosty’s “day club” dreams, French toast casserole survival hacks, Elf on the Shelf bribery, dogs eating entire advent calendars, and why laughing together might just be the most romantic thing left in early parenthood.Motherhood is messy, exhausting, nostalgic, hilarious, and wildly complicated — and somehow, we’re still standing.
