I ask her about the impacts of immigration status and the language barriers in America and how she overcame adversity as an ELL student. Kristine speaks about how she felt while immigration as a 15 year old, learning a second language, taking ELL classes in high school, gaining citizenship, her experience with discrimination, and more.
