Future Queer, Future Here
This podcast show aims to help strengthen a sense of belonging for LGBTQIA+ people by centring diverse stories, including trans, non‑binary, intersex, disabled, Black, Indigenous and people of colour. Celebrate queer culture, creativity and resilience so listeners feel seen beyond trauma narratives. Mental health and wellbeing Promote practical mental health skills (boundaries, self‑advocacy, coping strategies) in an affirming, stigma‑free way. Normalise seeking support and highlight inclusive services, peer spaces and helplines. Intergenerational and intersectional connection Connect younger and older queer people through shared episodes, mentoring conversations and “queer ancestors” segments. Regularly foreground intersections with race, class, disability, migration, faith and rural/remote life.
