    The video game industry is in an absolute state of emergency right now. With 2026 on track to see over 14,000 industry layoffs and more massive studio closures announced every single week, the Game Clique had to step into the boardroom to get some answers. This week, we are firing the shareholders and taking over. We decided to play "CEO for a Day," taking control of some of the biggest developers and publishers in the gaming industry to see if we could make the tough calls to actually stop the bleeding. We break out our survival plans for industry titans like Xbox, Electronic Arts (EA), and Ubisoft, discussing how we would restructure their pipelines to keep the lights on and the talent in-house. This week, we invited a lineup of special guest contestants to test to see if they can recognize whether they're about to commit to a GOTY contender or pick up a Metacritic flop just from vague descriptions of video games.
