Rugby – Matthew Littlejohn President @melbournechargers and Aaron Soh, Club President @monashrugby Melbourne Chargers are live in the @joy949 Sport Studio to talk Pride Cup – the season curtain-raiser – the Pezet-Smith Cup! The Chargers’ Monash mates are strong supporters of inclusive rugby, and this annual match is always a brilliant celebration of rugby as a place for everyone. Gates open 2.30pm for a 3.45pm kickoff on the 28 March, playing at Monash Uni, Clayton, welcoming rugby back to campus! See you there!     Getting our game on with The Latchie (Aust GP) and Ben Cork (Pride In Sport)

    Welcome to Game On JOY 94.9’s Home of Sport live every Wednesday from 6-7pm where you’ll hear where you can get your game on! This show is all about showcasing where sport is safe, inclusive, welcoming and fun for the Rainbow community! We chatted inclusion in motorsport with The Latchie who performed at the Proud2Play Pride Hub at the Australian Grand Prix in full drag! And then joined superstar Rita Ora on stage for the grand finale of her performance! The Latchie was quite a hit with the crowd with cheers all round! We hear from Ben Cork, National Program Manager, Pride In Sport getting his take on the sport presence at the recent Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival, the Pride In Sport Survey Results, new Pride in Sport members and who the nominees are for the prestigious annual Pride In Sport awards! Well, not really a terrible phone line so we only heard that Game On is nominated for an award until the line went crackly! Check out the Pride In Sport socials for the details! And due to technical difficulties the interview with Sam Carver, Taisho – meaning – Student Instructor, Melbourne  Dragons Martial Arts club was delayed to next week. The club has been around for 10 years and is Melbourne’s first martial arts group for the same gender-attracted and gender-diverse community and allies. If you have ever considered taking up martial arts get involved with  Muay Thai Kickboxing and Goju Ryu Karate! We hear the latest LGBTQIA+ News and finish with a pep talk about getting through tough times from Joshua Paul a football fitness coach based in the UK. Joshua has a  passion for football and fitness merging the two together to bring you helpful content and tips via his Instagram feed Fit4Football.
