Texas is a lock for the CFP regardless of the result next weekend. UGA and Tennessee are also locks so CFP so long as they win next weekend. That leaves one or two of five remaining 3-loss SEC teams (SC, Miss, Mizz, AL, and A&M) to fill one or two CFP berths likely to go to the SEC. Mizz and A&M likely fall behind South Carolina given recent decisive losses to Carolina. While AL and beat Carolina by 2 points on their home field early in the season, their recent bad loss to OU should sink their CFP chances. That leaves Ole Miss as the sole 3 loss team ahead of Carolina. Ole Miss definitely smashed Carolina at Carolina at the season’s mid point. The only question is if the CFP penalizes them for a bad home loss to UK at season mid point and to 6-5 UF team last week. To ensure a CFP berth, the following future results would help the Cocks lock a berth.
