2022 Gardening gift list
Looking for some great gift ideas for gardeners on your list - or for yourself? Our experienced gardening guest has lots of suggestions for you.
Late season planting
There is still time to plant, but the clock is ticking. We look at how to successfully get those woody plants in the ground, what you can compost from your vegetable garden, and how to prepare your garden for winter.
Caring for holiday greenery
It’s time to select your Christmas trees and garlands. We talk with a tree expert about what trees are best and how to keep them fresh longer. We also talk about woody perennials.
Protecting trees from winter damage
Winter can do a number on your trees, especially those that were planted this year. We talk about how to protect your investment from wind and fluctuating temperatures.
Selecting indoor plants
Rooms just feel better with plants, especially if various heights are used. We talk about how to create a natural environment by using tall, medium and small sized plants.
Fresh herbs have many uses and growing most of them isn’t too difficult. Our guest from the Olbrich Botanical Gardens talks about how to be successful, even when you are limited by time, space, or experience.
As a beginning gardener in Wisconsin, this podcast has been super informative for me. Especially since most YouTube garden content creators seem to be in California or the South, it’s nice to get the Wisconsin perspective (very different growing seasons!) If you’re into gardening, esp if you’re in the Midwest, I highly recommend Garden Talk.
A Great Garden Podcast
An informative show on a variety of gardening topics, with affable, interesting hosts and guests. A great listen for people who have an interest in gardening, wherever they might live (I, for example, am a Utahn).
