    Do It Anyway

Visibility isn’t just about posting on LinkedIn or building a personal brand. It’s about making sure your work, your ideas, and your voice have the opportunity to create the impact they’re capable of creating. In this conversation, Rachel Bolton and I talk about something we’ve both had to work through ourselves: the discomfort of being seen. We talk about perfectionism, self-doubt, the stories we tell ourselves, and why waiting until we feel “ready” often keeps us exactly where we are. Rachel shares the PIE Framework, a powerful way to think about career growth through Performance, Image, and Exposure, along with practical ways to become more visible inside your organization without feeling like you’re constantly promoting yourself. This conversation reminded me that courage isn’t the absence of fear. Sometimes it’s simply deciding to do the thing anyway. If you’ve been sitting on an idea, waiting to share your voice, or wondering whether your work is enough, I hope this episode gives you the nudge you’ve been looking for. In This Episode * Why visibility is about more than social media * The hidden cost of perfectionism * Rachel’s PIE Framework: Performance, Image & Exposure * Four practical ways to increase your visibility at work * Building advocates who speak your name in rooms you’re not in * The difference between self-promotion and thought leadership * Why confidence often comes after action, not before About Rachel Rachel Bolton is an Executive Leadership Advisor, keynote speaker, executive coach, and host of Rachel’s Leadership Lounge. Identity Clutter: Letting Go of the Version of You That No Longer Fits

Okay so I cleaned my closet this week. And I know that sounds simple, but honestly? It cracked something open in me that I wasn’t expecting. Some things were easy to let go of. Clearly didn’t fit, clearly not my style anymore, easy. But then there were other things that surprised me with how much emotional weight was behind them. And I started asking myself — why am I grieving a sweater I haven’t worn in a year? That question took me somewhere deeper. Because the truth is, the stuff is never really just stuff. And the clutter is never really just clutter. In this episode I’m taking you through three layers of letting go — physical, identity, and spiritual. We talk about why your brain literally resists releasing old versions of yourself, the identity stories you’ve been performing that you didn’t write, and the spiritual grip on outcomes and timelines that were never yours to control in the first place. This one is personal. I share things I’m still working through myself — including the ways I’ve been toning down my own voice to make the people around me more comfortable. And I think a lot of you are going to feel seen in this episode. Before you’re done, I want you to sit with three questions: * What are you keeping physically that represents a version of you that’s already gone? * What story are you still performing that you didn’t write? * What are you gripping that was never yours to control? Letting go is not the loss. It’s where the power lives. Drop your answers in the comments — I’m doing this right alongside you. This is a public episode.
