As a new listener, Jenny and Charlotte approach complex social issues with an educated ease. The Hate U Give episode with Cindy really went beyond just a movie review and was an open dialogue about the overwhelming police brutality we see in the news and the representation of the players in this social issue, while relating it to its source material. Even as an early-20s white woman, I agree Chris was problematic. I thought they were addressing the problem of the “white savior” but he just came across as pretty to look at without any social graces.
