Geekistry Episode 57: Lowatus of Borg
Geekistry returns from a four month hiatus with new co-host Bryce Erwin from Taverncast. For new listeners we define what the show is about so that people aren't mistaking us for a knitting podcast.
We have a new segment called Geekiversary which we take a special release from the past and discuss what it meant to us over time. This show's Geekiversary is Aliens, released in July of 1986.
Another new segment is called The Ring where two classic topics clash. For our first battle we do the classic Star Trek vs. Star Wars. Who will win?
We tackle one of the biggest geek parent issues of our time: do you show your kids IV-VI first, or I-VI all the way through?

Awesomenessness
Great show, lots of fun
Great Show!
My first experiences with podcasting were several years back, when I began listening to two World of Warcraft related podcasts, Taverncast and World of Warcast. The schedules of the podcasts weren't always consistent (I'm looking at you, Bryce), but the shows always made for great listening. Now recently, the hosts of each show, Bryce and Michael, have got together to put on this great show covering all-things nerd, Geekistry.
The range of topics is wonderful, and as a self-professing geek, there is always something of interest being discussed. Mix engaging commentary on everything from epic movie releases to the rise (and fall) of MTV with a dash of humor from Bryce and you've got Geekistry.
The show is definitely worth listening to - it has quickly become one that I look forward to hearing.
Keep up the great work, Mike and Bryce!!
Great show
The show looks into the excellent things that make us geeks happy. New listener. Great show since I was introduced to it, and hope many more podcasts to come.
