Geekually Yoked

The hosts are fun and engaging as well as full of insight to all things geek. Fans of literature, TV, and theology will surely enjoy.

When I first started looking for podcasts that intersected both Christian and geek-oriented topics, I was surprised by the amount of content that fell in such a specific niche. I'm a regular listener of 5 or 6 different Chistian/Geek podcasts (14-hour shifts at a factory gives you that kind of time), and of them all, the Kesslers are my favorite hosts. They don't have the artificiality some other hosts have when they talk on topics; the Kesslers don't feel like radio hosts, they feel like the married couple next door that you invite to board game night and have a conversation with. In short; they are charming, sincere, and very entertaining.

I recently discovered this podcast while looking for some quality geek content. As I am sure you are aware there are a million podcasts but the great ones are few and far. That being said I decided to give this one a try as a Christian geek podcast seemed like a interesting idea. I was pleasantly surprised and extremely happy with what I heard. The hosts are extremely charming and definitely have the chemistry to make an entertaining podcast (which makes sense considering they are man and wife.) if you're looking for a new podcast I highly recommend giving this one a try.

Geekually Yoked takes its name from the famous Bible verse about being careful who you marry -- you want to be "equally yoked." Of course, the verse comes from a spiritual context -- for this podcast, its a perfect description of the hosts. A married couple, they love each other, love to geek out, and they both love Jesus. As Christian geeks, they explore a wide variety of topics and are fun, engaging, and thought provoking. Christian geeks and nerds? This podcast was made for you! (Make sure you listen to the music at the end -- the opening music is from the BEGINNING of a song, but the song's clever geek-centric twist, which also suits this podcast perfectly, isn't really apparent until they continue the song at the end!)
