People Taking Care of People: Autism Support, Estate Planning, and Wealth With Purpose

I sat down with my sister to talk about My Autism Connection and the role programs like this can play for families and young adults with autism. This one is personal. MAC helps young adults build communication, independent living skills, social confidence, creativity, and community. For many families, this type of support can be life-changing. The hard part is that access and affordability are still real challenges. That connects directly to the bigger mission behind Generational Growth. In jiu jitsu, we talk a lot about building a strong base. Without the base, everything else eventually breaks down. I think wealth works the same way. Financial education, estate planning, trusts, properly structured whole life insurance, and long-term capital systems can help families build that base. The living side can help create access to capital while we are here. The legacy side can help support families, causes, and communities after we are gone. Wealth building should not just be about accumulation. It should be about protection, access, and impact. That is why this conversation matters to me. It ties together family, purpose, financial education, autism support, and the belief that people are going to have to start taking care of people. If this resonates, share it with someone who cares about autism support, estate planning, financial education, jiu jitsu, or building wealth with purpose. Infinite Banking in the U.S. vs Canada | How We Connected Through Values

Finding the right people in this space isn’t always easy. In this episode, I was featured on Kristy's Podcast with her Company, Abundant Wealth to discuss our infinite banking journeys. There’s a lot of noise, conflicting advice, and different intentions behind how infinite banking is presented. When Kristyn and I connected, it was through a shared values-based approach focused on education, proper policy design, and long-term thinking. Kristyn serves clients in Canada and entered the space after seeing the restrictions placed during COVID. That experience led her to explore systems that offer more control, flexibility, and resilience. In this conversation, we break down how properly designed whole life insurance can be used for liquidity, leverage, and long-term planning. We also discuss real estate strategies, private lending, policy design pitfalls, and the importance of working with the right people. 00:00 Welcome and Introductions 01:21 Austin Background and Turning Point 03:58 Research and First Policy 06:51 Bad Actors and Policy Design 12:16 Long Term Thinking and Debt 15:24 Real Estate Policy Playbook 17:29 Canada vs US Funding Differences 20:14 Mission and Rockefeller Method 23:25 Money Is Not Evil 24:37 Taxes And Direct Giving 25:40 Mentorship Cheat Code 27:42 Client Education First 30:50 Red Flags And Ego 34:58 IUL Versus Whole Life 39:12 Real Estate Insurance Stack 40:57 Final Takeaways Kristyn’s resources: 🔗Free resources hub: abundantlifews.com/list 📅Free clarity call: abundantlifews.com/appointment Subscribe for ongoing insights: ‪@AbundantLifeWS ‬My resources: 🔗 Website: https://www.generationalgrowthco.com/ 📅 Book a call: https://calendly.com/austin-generatio... Private Lending Explained with Doug Smith: Real Estate Notes, Whole Life, and Risk Management

In this episode, I sat down with Doug Smith, author of The Mad Lender, to talk through private lending, real estate backed notes, underwriting, risk management, and how investors can think more clearly before lending capital. We covered what private lending actually means, why “being backed by real estate” is not enough by itself, how capacity, character, and collateral fit into the underwriting process, and why private lenders need to understand the deal before chasing yield. We also talked about financial vehicles like Self-Directed IRAs, Solo 401(k)s, and properly structured whole life insurance, including how whole life policy loans can be used as part of a broader capital structure for private lending and real estate investing. Private lending can be powerful, but structure matters. Borrower. Collateral. Repayment source. Lien position. Underwriting. Exit strategy. Team. That is where the real education starts. Private Lending Explained: Real Estate, SDIRAs, Whole Life, and Capital Structure

In this episode, I sat down with Sharon to talk private lending, real estate investing, Self-Directed IRAs, whole life policy loans, turnkey rentals, and how to think about capital structure with more intention. We covered how private lending can allow investors to participate in real estate without owning the property directly, why structure matters, what backs a note, how first lien position works, and why the right operator, paperwork, and collateral are critical. We also talked about using different vehicles for different jobs: Self-Directed IRAs, whole life insurance, turnkey real estate, and private lending all solve different problems. Self-Directed IRA + Whole Life: How Real Estate Investors Think About Capital

Self-Directed IRAs, Solo 401(k)s, private lending, real estate investing, and properly structured whole life insurance all come back to one bigger idea: Capital structure matters. In this conversation, I sat down with Brett Synicky from Sense Financial to talk about how real estate investors and high-income professionals can think beyond the traditional “just buy the S&P 500 and wait” strategy. We covered Self-Directed IRAs, Solo 401(k)s, checkbook control, private lending, real estate inside retirement accounts, and how investors can use different vehicles for different jobs. A Self-Directed IRA or Solo 401(k) may help investors access retirement dollars for alternative assets like real estate, syndications, private credit, or private lending. Properly structured whole life insurance solves a different problem: liquidity, access to capital, tax-advantaged growth, and keeping dollars in motion while building assets outside the policy. They are not the same tool. But when used intentionally, they can both fit inside a larger wealth-building strategy. Strategy has to follow the goal. I Thought Infinite Banking Was a Scam (My Ego Cost Me 5 Years)

Five years ago, I made the biggest financial mistake of my life. I saw infinite banking as a scam and dismissed it without understanding it. My ego cost me years of learning about leverage, liquidity, and capital control. Infinite banking using whole life insurance can feel complicated because insurance itself is a broad umbrella. We have life insurance, auto insurance, health insurance, and more, and each category has different structures. Inside life insurance alone there are major differences between term and permanent coverage, whole life and IUL, and stock versus mutual companies. Add in commission structures, aggressive marketing, and today’s scam culture, and it is easy to see why people get confused or defensive. 0:00 The Ego Mistake That Cost Me 5 Years 0:40 Why Infinite Banking Feels Like a Scam 1:40 Insurance Is an Umbrella, Not One Product 2:50 Term vs Permanent Life Insurance Explained 3:50 Whole Life vs IUL for Infinite Banking 4:50 Stock vs Mutual Insurance Companies 5:58 What Makes a Strong Insurance Company 7:07 Designing for Liquidity and Efficiency 9:26 Agent Commissions and Scam Culture 13:03 How to Actually Do Infinite Banking Correctly 15:30 Tribal Dogma and the S&P 500 Mindset In this video I break down infinite banking simply and clearly. We cover why whole life feels complex, how to distinguish term vs permanent insurance, whole life vs IUL for infinite banking, the difference between stock and mutual insurance companies, what to look for in a strong company, how policies should be designed for efficiency and liquidity, and how agent commissions tie into the perception of scams. We also talk about tribal financial dogma, whether that is blind loyalty to the S&P 500 or blind loyalty to infinite banking, and why thinking independently matters.
