    Producing SEND HELP w/ ZAINAB AZIZI - Season 4 BONUS EPISODE!!

    President of Raimi Productions, ZAINAB AZIZI, tells us all about her joinery into the industry, ultimately leading to the most recent film she produced, SEND HELP starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien, which is out in theaters this Friday, January 30th!!!! We start from her starting in the WME mail room with no prior connections, to working in their global department with packaging and indie sales, to producing the first feature she had green lit as Head of Development for Raimi Productions, and all about her current role now as President. We discuss how to build and navigate industry relationships with individual creatives as well as big studios, her biggest lessons learned as a producer thus far, and the projects Raimi Productions looks for, and how they assemble their incredible movie teams. We are absolutely thrilled to bring you this bonus Season 4 episode to prep you before you go see SEND HELP this week, and to hopefully inspire those budding producers out there!! SEND HELP is about two colleagues who become stranded on a deserted island, the only survivors of a plane crash. On the island, they must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it's an unsettling, darkly humorous battle of wills and wits to make it out alive. “Send Help” is directed by genre-bending visionary Sam Raimi and stars Oscar® nominee Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien. The film is produced by Raimi and Zainab Azizi, executive produced by JJ Hook and written by Damian Shannon & Mark Swift, with original music by Danny Elfman. Her short film Seeking Sugar is currently on its festival run, including the Oscar-qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival, and she is actively developing the project into a feature film. A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Coppola has worked for acclaimed directors Julie Anne Robinson, Jody Hahn, and Oscar-winner Ellen Goosenberg Kent on projects for Hulu, ABC, and Disney+. She also served as an associate producer on the Emmy-winning short Ball & Vase. Coppola currently serves as Creative Director for American Skating Entertainment Centers and for musician Leo Amario. She will enter pre-production this spring on a true-crime musical she co-wrote and will direct.     4.11 Production & Post Production w/ BAILEY CASTLE & ERIKA LEBBY

    You heard them back in Season 2, Episode 11 talk about their crowdfunding and pre-production journey, and today two of the producers from the Delicate Condition Web Series are back to tell us all about their Production and Post Production journey. We talk about transitioning their crowdfunding campaign into what they needed for production, choosing a mentally manageable number for potential donators to understand, pivoting with the money you raised verses the money you wanted to raise, how Bailey navigated being first on the call sheet and the director, how they shot 8 episodes in 5 production days!!!, the common pitfall of a background actor, and film festival submission strategy for web series content… and so much more!! (Btw I know, I know there are some sound things in this ep, but I promise they don’t last for long.
