Get to the Roots Extras was created to archive interviews conducted by Stef Hinton for Get to the Roots on Radio St Pete 96.7 FM WLMX-LP St. Petersburg, as they're unable to archived at the radio station. Stef uploaded these interviews online in order to continue to support and promote the local musicians and community members who took the time to speak on air. Get to the Roots Extras has expanded to include episodes containing light commentary, encouragement and motivational speech for fellow artists, and radio/podcaster based humor, as well as a behind the scenes look at some of the aspects of maintaining Get to the Roots.

    The Rain Drops, Behind the Scenes of this week's Get to the Roots

    Much like last week's pod, I share the drops I did for my radio show this week. I even got more help than last time, getting two correspondents to record some rain-related jokes to help keep things light.    Being in Florida, I didn't want to group hurricanes into a rain-themed episode. This episode is essentially a part two to last week's, when I covered heat and the heat index in Florida. For the rain we see this time of year, I was able to go even deeper and find out even more information than last time.    I also played with different ways to sound engineer each clip.

This behind the scenes looks goes into what made my radio show special this week, will hopefully inspire you to become creative in your work, and also I love being able to archive the extra work I put into GTTR as well as inform this audience as well of all the things I learned about this week for the show. It's hot in Florida and the weather has a lot of interesting facts to throw in about what we're dealing with down here!

    Alexis Baum of AB Sees You does street interview style episodes that are available online streaming wherever podcasts are found (for the most part) and check out her linktree here: https://linktr.ee/abseesyou    She has made it a mission to shine an audio spotlight onto others and collect their beautiful and meaningful stories.
