As people pleasers (or people pleasers in recovery), we have to remember our feelings are just as valid as others, and it’s okay to NOT give in to others feelings ALL THE TIME… You can acknowledge someone’s feelings without abandoning your own. Human Disconnection Online Interaction

The human connection has not always been 100%, but it seems to be declining more and more these days. Even when we interact online, it isn’t as positive as it used to be in the past when it was new. Some people will minimize your experience because they refuse to own up to their own faults. They lie and will be quick to throw you under the bus, while claiming you made the mistake. Well the thing is, not all mistakes are actually mistakes. Your kindness was used against you, because your boundaries became the threat. Don’t allow anyone to gaslight you into thinking your experience was anything but traumatic. When they are quick to belittle you and your experiences, that’s an indication that you don’t really matter that much to them. Let’s normalize not accepting poor behavior! People who are comfortable in their situations may see your growth as a threat. They look down on you for doing things they don’t have the courage to do. You decided to grow and evolve as your own person, and instead of being inspired, they dislike you for not being the same like them!
