I’m sorry but this is just bad reporting. There was actually text message evidence that Akia sent to multiple people that indicated that she was moving out. She even informed her roommate that she was moving out to be with the father of her child. It’s crazy how anyone can pick up a mic and start a podcast without doing any research. While this detail might seem insignificant, it goes to show me the sloppy reporting and the distortion of facts. And I can only assume if it’s in this episodes it’s in many more. Black women deserve justice and truthful and accurate reporting is the only way that can come about.

I listen to so many true crime podcasts and just started this one today. What makes them stand out is the RESEARCH. I love the extra details you receive from this podcast. Keep it up..y’all are amazing!

I have never listened to a true crime podcast before because of the fear that they would give me nightmares. A close friend recommended this show to me and I’m glad I listened. Ronnetta presents the episodes in a way that makes them palatable and exciting to me. Her voice is very calming. I admire Ronnetta for her dedication to telling these women’s stories and am grateful to her for it. I love listening.
