Giant Monster Messages

As the title of my review states, this is the best Kaiju podcast across the internet. The thoroughness of Joshua and Taylor in reviewing every theatrically released giant monster movie in order provides an incredibly informative overview of the genre, allowing listeners to explore the evolution of giant monster films, and provides a very convenient and comprehensive watch list. By focusing on the messages, they provide a deeper look into the movies than most, and encourage viewing these works in a different light. Joshua’s religious insights help provide an interesting cultural context, while Taylor’s scientific facts are very educational. Plus, the listener involvement is a lot of fun. For anyone wanting to get into the genre or for longtime fans looking for new perspectives on their favorites, there’s no better place than Giant Monster Messages… even if the Ninja Turtle films are totally not giant monster movies (sorry Taylor).

My new favorite podcast. I’m up to “The Mysterians” as of today and can’t wait to hear more. I’m mostly a Godzilla fan but I’m warming to these other giants. Keep up the great work.

I love how you talk about the movie and you try and find monster messages

Taylor and Josh are a seemingly unlikely duo: one a scientist, the other a pastor. But somehow, like chocolate and peanut butter, they make a wonderful combo, and they're a podcast I cannot highly recommend enough. Even a film like "Ebirah the Horror of the Deep," a favorite of mine, doesn't seem to be too......ripe for discussion past "that volleyball scene is great," but they do their research and provide an A+ content. Oh, and they aren't crass. That part gets exhausting in this fandom.
