Ep 8 - (Valentine's Edition) How to WFH as Couples || How To Pitch Yourself For Any Role In Venture Capital

It's Valentine's week!! And you already know how extra I can get with these things.  In today's episode, I brought you a special guest, my husband, Kayode Oyewole. Apart from being my husband, Kayode is a Partner at Ventures Platform where he spends most of his time making bold bets in early-stage companies building products that literarily push Africa forward and supporting portfolio companies as they find product-market fit and scale. He is a firm believer in reasoning from first principles. He regularly asks “How can Africa leverage technology as a force for good to solve really critical problems and ensure shared prosperity on the continent ”, This fuels his passion to invest in mission-driven founders.  Kayode served as a mentor on the Village Capital Fintech Africa Program and the Africa Entrepreneurship Award, where he provided advisory around product, distribution, and fundraising to about 50 companies who have gone ahead to raise millions (USD)in external funding. He helped Seedstars set up their pilot Venture building program in Nigeria. He is a 2-time founder and was an Entrepreneur in Training (EIT) at Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST), supported by the Meltwater Group (San Francisco) In this episode, we spoke about  How to thrive as couples who work from home.  Kay's journey into Venture Capital Getting started in Venture Capital with any skill

How To Position Yourself For High Paying Customer Experience Roles With Chinasa Ezeoke

Ever wondered how you can join the 'tech bros' in earning a sweet salary without writing a single line of code? What if I tell you, you can do this even as a customer experience (or support) professional. Well, in today's episode, I sit down to chat with Chinasa Ezeoke, a customer experience professional with at least 8 years of experience. Chinasa (whom we fondly call China), is currently a User Happiness Manager at Remote.com. Some back story here, China and I work together at Remote, and I realized that since she joined the team about 8 months ago, not only has she helped more people (Nigerians) to join the team,  she also has a telegram group where she provides support to people who are looking for Remote and high paying jobs. I called China to ask her how she does, and when she shared some of her tips and tricks, I knew I must have her on the podcast. Some of the highlights of this episode include:  How to get started as a customer experience professional if you are a newbie How to land global opportunities with or with previous experiences What to look out for when optimizing your CV and Linkedin for great positioning.  How to craft solid learning and development path for yourself Free and publicly available resources for CX professionals.  If you want to join China's Telegram group, here is the link to do so.  Also, you can reach her on Linkedin here
