Psalm 17 ~ God IS Working

God is at work in your circumstances, even when we don't fully see or understand. Scriptures referenced: * Psalm 17 (NKJV) * Exodus 14 * Luke 7:11-17 “Soon afterward he [Jesus] went to a town called Nain, and His disciples and a great crowd went with Him. As He drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her. And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, ‘Do not weep.’ Then He came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And He said, ‘Young man, I say to you, arise.’ And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother. Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, saying, ‘A great prophet has arisen among us!’ and ‘God has visited his people!’ And this report about Him spread through the whole of Judea and all the surrounding country.” * Luke 4:28-30 “When they heard these things, all in the synagogue were filled with wrath. And they rose up and drove Him out of the town and brought Him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw Him down the cliff. But passing through their midst, He went away.” * Psalm 16:8 “I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.” * Colossians 1:9-14 “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” _______________________ ***BLESSING BOX gifts available at thy-name.com Ways to connect with Amy: thy-name.com e-mail: amy-myers@thy-name.com lovevaluepurpose.com

Psalm 15 ~ Strength in God

Psalm 15 ~ Strength in God A Psalm of David. 1 O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent?     Who shall dwell on your holy hill? 2 He who walks blamelessly and does what is right     and speaks truth in his heart; 3 who does not slander with his tongue     and does no evil to his neighbor,     nor takes up a reproach against his friend; 4 in whose eyes a vile person is despised,     but who honors those who fear the Lord; who swears to his own hurt and does not change; 5 who does not put out his money at interest     and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.   Additional Scriptures * Matthew 22:37-40 “And He [Jesus] said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.’” * Proverbs 23:7 “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”  * Luke 6:45 “The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” * Galatians 5:13-15 “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.” * Matthew 15:10-11, 17-20 “And He [Jesus] called the people to Him and said to them, “Hear and understand: it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person. … Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.’” * Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”  * Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” _______________________ ***BLESSING BOX gifts available at thy-name.com Ways to connect with Amy: thy-name.com e-mail: amy-myers@thy-name.com lovevaluepurpose.com

Psalm 14 ~ Peace in Believing

Psalm 14 ~ Peace in Believing “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope” (Romans 15:13). Psalm 14 1 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”     They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds;     there is none who does good. 2 The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man,     to see if there are any who understand,     who seek after God. 3 They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt;     there is none who does good, not even one. 4 Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers     who eat up my people as they eat bread     and do not call upon the Lord? 5 There they are in great terror,     for God is with the generation of the righteous. 6 You would shame the plans of the poor,     but the Lord is his refuge. 7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!     When the Lord restores the fortunes of His people,     let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.   Additional Scriptures * Romans 3:23-24 “But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,” * Luke 4:18-19, cf Isaiah 61) “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.” * Luke 19:10 “ For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” * Matthew 10:30-32 “But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So everyone who acknowledges Me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven,” _______________________ ***BLESSING BOX gifts available at thy-name.com Ways to connect with Amy: thy-name.com e-mail: amy-myers@thy-name.com lovevaluepurpose.com

Psalm 13 ~ How Long Lord?

Psalm 13 ~ How Long Lord? Encouragement and prayer for the waiting or challenging seasons in life. Psalm 13: 1 How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? 3 Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death, 4 lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken. 5  But I have trusted in Your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. 6 I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me.   Additional Scriptures * Isaiah 28:23-29 “Give ear, and hear my voice; give attention, and hear my speech. Does he who plows for sowing plow continually? Does he continually open and harrow his ground? When he has leveled its surface, does he not scatter dill, sow cumin, and put in wheat in rows and barley in its proper place, and emmer as the border? For he is rightly instructed; his God teaches him. Dill is not threshed with a threshing sledge, nor is a cart wheel rolled over cumin, but dill is beaten out with a stick, and cumin with a rod. Does one crush grain for bread? No, he does not thresh it forever; when he drives his cart wheel over it with his horses, he does not crush it. This also comes from the Lord of hosts; He is wonderful in counsel and excellent in wisdom.” * Habakkuk 2:3 “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” * Ecclesiastes 3:1, 10-12 “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven….I have seen the business that God has given to the children of man to be busy with. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live.” * Ephesians 1:8-10, 17-21 “which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known  to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Christ, things in heaven and things on earth in Him.…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of His great might that He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.” _______________________ ***BLESSING BOX gifts available at thy-name.com Ways to connect with Amy: thy-name.com e-mail: amy-myers@thy-name.com lovevaluepurpose.com

Psalm 12 ~ HOPE in a World of Lies

Psalm 12 ~ HOPE in a World of Lies To the choirmaster: according to The Sheminith. A Psalm of David. 1 Save, O Lord, for the godly one is gone;     for the faithful have vanished from among the children of man. 2 Everyone utters lies to his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak. 3 May the Lord cut off all flattering lips,     the tongue that makes great boasts, 4 those who say, “With our tongue we will prevail, our lips are with us; who is master over us?” 5 “Because the poor are plundered, because the needy groan,     I will now arise,” says the Lord;     “I will place him in the safety for which he longs.” 6 The words of the Lord are pure words,     like silver refined in a furnace on the ground,     purified seven times. 7 You, O Lord, will keep them;     you will guard us from this generation forever. 8 On every side the wicked prowl,     as vileness is exalted among the children of man.   Additional Scriptures * John 14:18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” * Isaiah 43: 1-5, 11-13 “But now thus says the Lord, He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…Because you are precious in My eyes, and honored, and I love you…Fear not, for I am with you” * Isaiah 43: 11-13 “‘I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior.  I declared and saved and proclaimed, when there was no strange god among you; and you are my witnesses,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I am God. Also henceforth I am He; there is none who can deliver from my hand; I work, and who can turn it back?’” _______________________ ***BLESSING BOX gifts available at thy-name.com Ways to connect with Amy: thy-name.com e-mail: amy-myers@thy-name.com lovevaluepurpose.com

    Psalm 11 ~ Seeking God’s Refuge

Psalm 11 ~ Seeking God’s Refuge To the choirmaster. Of David. 1 In the Lord I take refuge; how can you say to my soul,     Flee like a bird to your mountain, 2 for behold, the wicked bend the bow;     they have fitted their arrow to the string     to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart; 3 if the foundations are destroyed,     what can the righteous do? 4 The Lord is in His holy temple;     the Lord's throne is in heaven;  His eyes see, his eyelids test the children of man. 5 The Lord tests the righteous,     but His soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence. 6 Let Him rain coals on the wicked;     fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup. 7 For the Lord is righteous; He loves righteous deeds;     the upright shall behold His face.   Scriptures  * 1 John 5:18 “We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.”  * James 1: 12-18 “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and He himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.” * Col 1:13-17 “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.  And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” * 2 Corinthians 2:9-11 “For this is why I [Paul] wrote, that I might test you and know whether you are obedient in everything. Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive. Indeed, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ, so that we would not be outwitted by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his designs.” * John 16: 7-11 “Nevertheless, I [Jesus] tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you. And when He comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see Me no longer; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”   _______________________ ***BLESSING BOX gifts available at thy-name.com Ways to connect with Amy: thy-name.com e-mail: amy-myers@thy-name.com lovevaluepurpose.com
