    Do you need to go to school to understand the Bible? + Knowing Jesus as a big brother

    Episode 56 Hello my dear brothers and sisters in Christ! Today we are continuing to read the book of John together! I so love getting to do these studies with you. The Bible is so important to me and I want you to fall in love with God’s word and be a LIGHT! You don’t need to go to school to be able to read the Bible and understand it. For it is the Holy Spirit who reveals God’s word and gives us wisdom and understanding. The Holy Spirit can teach you the Word better than any school because it is like having the author of a book tell you exactly why they wrote their book and what it means. We can have a personal relationship with the author. Education is so important, and I encourage you to study the word and seek counsel, but I want you to know that Jesus and the Bible are for ALL people regardless of education, race, or upbringing. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” –James 1:5 + Were you blessed by today's episode?     Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life | John 6:22-71

    Episode 55 Hello my dear brothers and sisters in Christ! Today we are continuing to read the book of John together! I so love getting to do these studies with you. The Bible is so important to me and I want you to fall in love with God’s word and be a LIGHT! Episode preview: “Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.” —John 6:68-69 I love Peter’s response. Where will we go? Jesus has the words of eternal life. Even if I don’t know what it all means. Even if I don’t understand all the details. Even if I have questions. Things are hard. Where would I go? Jesus saved me many times. I have life in His name. I know Him. He saved me. Where would I go? There is nowhere else for me to go. How can I turn my back on the one who laid down? His life for mine? How can I leave the man who took me out of darkness and saved my life from death? I can’t. So I will stay with Jesus and trust in Him even when I don’t understand and the road gets narrow. I will stay because He has proven Himself steady and faithful to me all my life. I know even if the road is narrow and I fear I might fall off, his hand is holding tight to mine, and so long as I hold on, I am safe.     Are you sinking? John 6:1-24 & Matthew 14:22-33

    Episode 54 Hello my dear brothers and sisters in Christ! Today we are continuing to read the book of John together! I so love getting to do these studies with you. The Bible is so important to me and I want you to fall in love with God’s word and be a LIGHT! In life we will go through storms. Sometimes they are our own storms and others we are merely looking at others instead of Jesus. Both will take our eyes off of Jesus. Both can make us sink. You see, when my eyes are fixed on Jesus it does not matter what season I am in for I am steady in the Lord. Yes, there may be waves that crash and lightning that flashes but I will not be moved. I can look to Jesus and find peace, true peace in Him that is nothing like this world. I can look to Jesus and be satisfied with who I am and what I have. It is when my eyes aren’t fixed on Jesus that I sink. When I start focusing on me, me, me and everyone else and assigning my value to where other people are in their lives. I’m comparing my messy first draft to their seventh draft that has been edited multiple times and is now published. They are not the same thing. Doing this, comparing your life to others will ALWAYS leave you unsatisfied and dry. We need to fix our eyes on Him. When your eyes are on everything else we drown in the storms and waves of life. Only when our eyes are centered on Jesus are we steady, our foundation is firm, we can be at peace, we can be content. Content in Jesus and the loves we have. We can still have longings and desires but there is more trust in the Lord instead of fear and jealousy. There is peace where there was a storm. There was rest when there was striving. Look to Jesus who satisfies our souls. Jesus is the only one who will satisfy your soul. + Were you blessed by today's episode?     Healing is only one part of the story

    Episode 53 Hello my dear brothers and sisters in Christ! Today we are continuing to read the book of John together! I so love getting to do these studies with you. The Bible is so important to me and I want you to fall in love with God’s word and be a LIGHT! Jesus doesn’t just want to heal you in one way but wants to heal and free ALL of you. I have experienced the Lord’s pursuit of my heart. He didn’t have to. He didn’t have to show up and save my life when I was doubting him and in a dark place. He could have left me. But he didn’t. Jesus loved me enough to die for me on a cross and then pursue me when I lost all hope. When I was doubting and questioning, He met me where I was and revealed Himself to me. As He has pursued me, I believe He can and will do the same for you. I have faith.     Do you want to be healed?

The Bible is so important to me and I want you to fall in love with God’s word and be a LIGHT! Jesus comes, sees this man, and asks, “Do you want to be healed?” Isn’t this a silly question? Here are all these people at this pool waiting for healing. Of course this man would want healing. But yet Jesus still asks this question. Do you actually want to be healed? Healing can be uncomfortable. Healing can and usually does lead to change. Change is not always easy. So, there is the question, do you want to be healed? Do you want to be changed? Do you want a new life?     Your testimony is POWERFUL | John 4:1-42

    Episode 51 Hello my dear brothers and sisters in Christ! Today we are continuing to read the book of John together! We will be reading about the Samaritan woman at the well and her conversation with Jesus in John 4. I so love getting to do these studies with you. The Bible is so important to me and I want you to fall in love with God’s word and be a LIGHT! What has Jesus done for you? For your family? How has He shown up in your life? What is your testimony? Share that with others. Your testimony is powerful. I have a personal testimony with Jesus. I know that He is the savior of the world because He saved me. He loved me. He knew me. He pursued me. No one can take this testimony away from me. We can argue about dates and facts, and you can think I am wrong or not believe me, but at the end of the day I have had a personal experience with the Lord. I have experienced the Love of Jesus, and I cannot deny Him and what He has done for me. No one can take my testimony. No one can take away your testimony and what Jesus did for you in your life. That is why testimonies are so powerful. They are our real experiences and encounters with the Lord. They are our stories that we get to share with others and testify of the goodness and the truth of Jesus. + Were you blessed by today's episode?
