Steeping in the Cauldron of Change

Sacred Earth beneath my feet, draw my scattered attention down and in.Let my senses be roots, sight, sound, scent, taste, touch, and the knowing beneath words, reaching deep into your living heart.Remind me that life is not a race, but a gentle returning to what always holds me.As I change, may I stay rooted. As I root, may I be free to change. Happy July and welcome to this week’s Rituals of Returning newsletter! This month we are steeping in the Cauldron of Change. We also have August’s ritual kit ready for you in the shop. This week's magic: 13 minute mini ritual video: allies for July impromptu “witch at work” studio altar tour part two house altar tour I’m happy to report that I won third place in the Deane Wagner Poetry Contest for my poem: “Do Poets Eat at Taco Bell?” My 100 word story, “Warm-blooded” (shortlisted in the Tadpole Press 100 word story contest last month), has now been published in the 10th volume of “How to Save the World” from Compassiviste Press. 100% of the proceeds from the anthology goes to the Zaatari Desert Garden project, helping Syrian refugees develop hydroponic food production in the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. The digital book is available from: Compassiviste website Amazon Barnes and Noble Kobo Event notice for upcoming free event (not-affiliated, just passing the word along): On July 21st at 11am PT/ 2pm ET/ 8pm CET, there is a free online gathering with Pat McCabe (Weyakpa Najin Win, Woman Stands Shining): Seeding a New Future. Pat is a Diné elder, ceremonial leader and voice for global peace and will be in conversation with Rachel Duffy and Michael Denmeade. Together we’ll explore the wisdom of these times. And the work of coming back into right relationship with the Earth, with each other, and with our own true nature, such that together we can seed a thriving future for all. It’s free, donation-based, and open to all. The registration link is here. Replay from our 2000 Days of Goddess live celebration including free printable booklets! Back to the Roots collection with so many free resources from June! The Cauldron of Change I’ve been making space to steep in the Cauldron of Change this month, even with just a few morning minutes to reflect and integrate. I made this little prompts booklet for my community and it has been such a helpful resource—I’ve also been dropping my Womanrunes draw of the day into the Cauldron rune and seeing how the two work together. I’d love to invite you to join us as well—we’re doing live community practices each Monday! Back to the Roots! Back to the Roots has drawn to a close after celebrating our 2000th day of #30DaysofGoddess! Make sure to check out the collection where all of the free posts are available. And, you can still grab your welcome kit with beautiful journals and customizable covers. Life’s Bits and Pieces: Even when life is busy even when there is too much to do,even when everythingand everyone needs something from you,you know a one word spell of power:Return,a practice,a process,a prayer, an invitation to settle and re-settle into your own wise center,to root downand reach outand reclaim. reading: (to self) How to Save the World—referenced above from Compassiviste. This is an interesting anthology with poems, short stories, and book excerpts from speculative fiction. It has made me highlight several book titles to get separately because I was hooked in by the extracts included. (to kids) The Violet Keystone, the sixth and final book in the Seventh Tower series (why there aren’t seven gets on all of our nerves, but we’re also ready for the series to be over). listening to: by self: Caroline—this is an adult retelling of the Little House on the Prairie saga through Ma’s eyes. It WAY overuses simile and is a little more navel-gazing than I expect Ma would actually have had time for, but I’m finding it very engaging and interesting. Listening to this for me is completely independent of the new Netflix series that is currently ALL over the news and social media. I didn’t even know there was going to be a new series until just this week and I have been on the waiting list for Caroline for several months now. I also feel like I need a disclaimer that despite my deep childhood fondness for this series, as an adult, I’ve definitely come to see what a sanitized, idealized, and whitewashed picture it paints of the westward expansion, colonialism, and the indigenous nightmare of forced removal. with Tanner and Mark: Daughter of the Deep—a lengthy revisiting of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Rick Riordan. Shades of Percy Jackson and a bit of Harry Potter abound therein. I do enjoy the diverse cast and the female heroine. This made for good listening on our recent drive to Ohio and Kentucky. Note: I am on Fable if you want to follow along with what I read there! Gift a Goddess Magic membership to a friend! Rituals of Returning for Midyear Reflection & Integration Happy July! Rooster call, cicada buzz, fly dance, wind rustle, spiderweb shimmer, ironweed in bloom. Wise weeds and wild ones, show me the holiness hidden in what I overlook. There is plenty right here, a cocoon for the metamorphosis of now. Inviting you to step into the Cauldron of Change in our Rituals of Returning video for July. This month is a gently powerful invitation into midyear reflection and integration—a sacred pause to let your experiences steep, so you can carry forward what truly nourishes you. Reminder: I do create monthly handbooks for members of our Goddess Magic Mystery School community and July’s handbook is available here. Expanded post available here. Questions to consider: What from the first half of this year needs to be: Scooped out and released? Left to steep longer? More fully savored and integrated? What needs to be reconsidered, redefined, or re‑explored at this midpoint of the year? Where do you need spikier boundaries around your time, your days, and your energy? What needs to be lovingly cut away so you can choose transformation? Where are you being invited to savor the sweetness of your life more fully? How can you create sanctuary in your everyday life, right where you are? How can you create what you seek right now, in the middle of everything? What might become clear if you grant yourself a sacred pause this month to integrate, reflect, deepen, and steep? Affirmations I tumble with the turning. I allow myself to choose and to change. I take my life to the cauldron and listen. I am on the lookout for the presence of wonder. I am awake to the miracle. I tend to the secret garden in my soul. I am at home in myself. I create a sanctuary in my everyday. I savor this sweet and wild life. A Blessing of Belonging We close our weekly live community practice each week with our familiar blessing of belonging:Breathing in, we arrive in our bodies, breathing out we soften. We remember we belong to the earth and the sky,to ourselves and one another.May our small, steady flamesjoin countless othersin a great weaving of repair. Here, in the Cauldron of Change of summer, we remember: we do not change alone. We change in circles, in conversations, in the solidarity of knowing that other people, other places, are lighting their candles too, placing their own experiences into the cauldron, asking their own questions, and trusting that together, across distance and in all our imperfect humanity, we are part of a great weaving of repair. So as July unfurls, I invite you to steep in some practices/ideas that we’ve recently been exploring in circle: Let July be July. Let yourself be yourself. Release what is too heavy. Let what is still becoming have time to steep. Savor what is already sweet and true. And remember, every time you pause to remember you belong: you are a small, steady flame in a wide, wild, shimmering cauldron of change in which we can brew a new world to share. Our Inner Pace… My inner pace in Julymoves in resonancewith the languorous, liquid, luminous, lazy rhythm of desire,of longing,of curiosity and wonder. It is the pace of discovery,of creative renewaland energetic re-setand review, the pace of life’s own unfolding,on its own time,in its own ways. Sending love to all of you. Summer's Invitations: Allow, Let Go, and Create!

Now is the time for golden dreams, for your imagination to dance with reality and weave ideas into form. Now is the time to root deep, to reach out, to rise up. Happy Summer and welcome to this week’s Rituals of Returning newsletter with more allies for summer flourishing! We also have some beautiful color experiment goddesses ready for you in the shop. This week's magic: 13 minute mini ritual video: Allow, let go, create tiny video slideshow from my own family Summer Solstice ritual April/May prayerbook flip-through video. My poem Skunkwatching was published in Thimble Literary Magazine this month. bonus baby skunk video that we delighted in seeing just this past weekend! And, I made the shortlist in the Tadpole Press 100 Word Writing Contest with my tiny story: Warmblooded. New essay on Feminism and Religion: Earthprayer Back to the Roots! Back to the Roots is now drawing to a close after celebrating our 2000th day of #30DaysofGoddess! Make sure to check out the collection where all of the free posts are available. And, grab your welcome kit with beautiful journals and customizable covers. Life’s Bits and Pieces: A chant for summer: Roots below and sun above,I’m held in wisdom, held in love. Waters flowand clear light shines, summer’s magic is now mine. reading: (to self) Red Rising—a little violent and disturbing and disheartening (a blend of Hunger Games meets Ender’s Game), this book is also immediately engaging and swoops you right up into this sci-fi world of far-future colonists of Mars and how they have stratified society into a brutal color-caste system. Naturally, we must rely on a plucky, gifted, unwillingly heroic 16 year old to save the day (world). (to kids) Into Battle, book five in the Seventh Tower series—almost finished with this one (also color-caste based society with Red at the bottom, interestingly!). We’re starting to get a little annoyed by some elements of this series, I have to admit. I don’t want to spoil it, but sometimes the plucky, unwillingly heroic, teenagers get a little too “promoted” through the ranks than makes any logical sense. (still listening to with Tanner): How to Trap a Tiger—we’ve got about 20 minutes left in this one. Rooted in Korean folklore, but set in modern times. Note: I am on Fable if you want to follow along with what I read there! Resource Reminders: Intro audio about the Goddess Magic Mystery School I’ve started to add our monthly activation replay videos for this year’s #30DaysofGoddess practice to the homepage! Note: Live monthly activations are available to any member of the Goddess Magic Mystery School Patreon community free and paid both! FREE class: forty week Intro to Goddess Studies class! Gift a Goddess Magic membership to a friend! Allow, Let Go, Create: More Allies for Summer Happy Summer! I return to the roots.I return to now,to the pulse beneath all the noise,to the ripeness of this moment. I let presencetransport meinto the sacred. In this week’s video, I share our supplemental herbal ally, Linden, and our animal ally, House Mouse, inviting us to return to beginner’s mind, embrace imperfection, and create our lives with quiet, persistent joy. Reminder: I do create monthly handbooks for members of our Goddess Magic Mystery School community and June’s handbook is available here. Expanded post available here. May we have patience with our infinite dreams and our beautifully human limitations. May we make space for deep listening to our heart’s longings and trust in inner wisdom.May we remember that we are woven into a magnificent web of magic, supported, connected, and enough.May we be soft but persistentas we continue to create lives we love to live. Questions to consider: What attracted you to a goddess faith, or an earth-based path, or to everyday magic and sacred living? Can you allow space for mystery in your days? Side note: this reminds me of a quote I read after making this video: “God is the name of the blanket we throw over the mystery to give it shape.” (Barry Taylor) How might you tackle the challenges in your life by going in small? How might we tackle some ordinary situations in our lives that are heaping up and asking for attention—one book, one box, one basket, one item at a time? Can you allow yourself to go back to the roots? Affirmations I am flexible as I build my future. I protect my resources by surrounding them with what I love. I take on my tasks with a playful air. I take care of what I love. I open my hands and let go. I allow my life to be as it is. I allow ease. I allow joy. I allow discovery. I allow transformation. I allow myself to go back to the roots. I create my life with joy. I accept this moment. Flowering Where We Are June holds the full creative power of the year—everything lush, buzzing, ripening, in bloom. And still…sometimes we don’t feel ready for all the brightness and busyness. In our Simple and Sacred circle this month, we honored that it’s okay if this isn’t your year to be in full blossom, maybe you’re strengthening roots instead of showing flowers. You are no less magical for blooming slowly. Does it feel like this is a root-growing summer or a flower-showing summer for you? "the faithfulness I can imagine would be a weedflowering in tar, a blue energy piercingthe massed atoms of a bedrock disbelief"—Adrienne RichIn our Community Practice last week, I shared an essay by Daniela Molnar called “Flowering in Tar" (Oregon Humanities). She invites us into our senses for a "geohaptic" connection. Imagine that your six senses—touch, sight, sound, taste, smell, and intuition—are six thick roots extending from your body down, down, down to the center of the planet, where they anchor into what Annie Dillard once called Holy the Firm. Holy the Firm can be whatever you name as ultimate:• Goddess/God• gravity or time• molten metal or mystery• the sacred, the absolute, the hum at the center of things From that core, these roots rise back through the layers of the earth—rock and soil, water and air—reaching into your veins, your skin, your bones, your mind, and heart. "You are socketed into the living world through your senses." This deep rooting is a gift. And, a quote to remember and draw strength from: “When the world feels hard, remember this: We live on a planet where trees feed their dying elders through underground rivers of root and fungus. Where whales carry songs older than memory across entire oceans and octopuses dream in shifting colour. Where every breath we take is given by trees and the algae drifting through the sea. Where plants rise around us as medicine, monarch butterflies travel thousands of miles on wings softer than paper, and tiny birds navigate by sensing the earth itself. Where starlight travels for millions of years before touching the earth, and tiny seeds break open stone in their longing for light.” -- Brigit Anna McNeilNote: this section was part of my Back to the Roots series free on Patreon. A summer blessing… And so,we crossed the thresholdinto summer, the vision we breathed into beingon the winter solsticehas now taken form.May we have the courage neededto stand in this liminal space, one foot in creative darkness, one foot in bright possibility.Let us look into our own cupped hands, seeing the seed dreamwe have nourished, that we’ve planted and protectedis now ready to bloom and thrive.Let us clear space around it.Let us weed awaywhat is not needed.Let us step backand invite the heat and passionof summer’s lightto invigorate and strengthenthat which we have so patiently tended. It is now when the visionswe have nurturedbecome real. Happy Summer! June's Allies and More!

In the heat of summer, I pause at the crossroads, lighting a candle in the sacred cauldron of my heart.I listen to the whispers of my soul,as dreams coalesce and possibilities take form.I stand in the center of my own life, where I extend my hands to touch the infinite fieldthat carries and holds me in each moment.I breathe in the ordinarygifts of life, the bright sky above me, the solid earth beneath me,the squirrel’s dance, the fox’s crossing, the falling star’s blazing message.Grant me the courage to show up,the willingness to notice and see,to love the ordinary and trust itas my pathway to the sacred. In this living practice of presence, magic, mystery, and meaningcoalesce. I started it in the airport on the way home and it is perfect for me. (to kids) Into Battle, book five in the Seventh Tower series—I took a break from reading while we were gone to Nevada and so we’ve just started this one. I’m a little disappointed that they are now prepping for this big battle and solving the problems of their unraveling society and worldview with a fight. (listening to with Tanner): How to Trap a Tiger—a story about a girl and her mother and sister who go to live with their grandmother in a small town and there is a mysterious, elusive tiger that she keeps glimpsing. Rooted in Korean folklore, but set in modern times. (listening to by self): Mila 2.0—contemporary YA fiction about an android girl who doesn’t originally know she is an android super solider and is now on the run from the government. Finished the Saint of Steel (Paladin) series by T. Kingfisher and they were all so good. Loved them. My favorite series this year! I also finished reading The Magic of Us. Gift a Goddess Magic membership to a friend! Tara, White Willow, and Clear Quartz: June’s Allies Happy June! Willow and Linden are our herbal allies for June—rooted, wise, and healing. Welcome to our June and our allies for this month! This month we journey into the heat of summer, creativity, and the energy of Litha (the summer solstice) guided by Goddess Tara, White Willow, Linden, Clear Quartz, and the Mouse as our animal ally. Thank you for being here! May you go back to your roots, let your feelings move like water, and welcome a clear, joyful reset this summer season. Reminder: I do create monthly handbooks for members of our Goddess Magic Mystery School community and June’s handbook is available here. Expanded post available here. Questions to explore: What would it feel like to let yourself be surrounded by love—right now, as you are? Can you have a feeling without putting it into words? What is stagnant in your life right now? Where in your life are you repeating the same emotional script instead of letting it move? Do you feel yanked hither and yon by the pull of your feelings or by other people’s needs? What would it look like to let emotions flow through you and then go, rather than damming them up? If you could return one aspect of your life to the “factory settings,” what would it be? What are your own deep roots right now—what actually nourishes you? When you go back to the roots, what do you discover you truly want to keep, and what is ready to be released? Where in your life are you choosing what is convenient or comfortable over what might be deeply true or needed? Affirmations: I listen to the child within. I am surrounded by love. I nourish wholeness by going within. I dance with what life has to offer. I create my life with joy. I dip my feet into the current of the sacred. My emotions flow through me with ease. I listen to the ways of water. I stay open to what is. I stay open to what’s unfolding. I welcome a clear, loving reset in my life. I return to my roots and open to new possibilities. A gift to be here… I treasure my place on this earth, the power of connection, the roots of inspiration, the softness of settling in, the certainty and grace of belonging. It is a gift to be here, watching it all spin. Sending love to all of you. Keep living your magic, Molly, Mark, + Family This is a public episode. Live activation ritual for May is on May 4th at 3:00! Book party for Thunder and Roses is on May 11! We’ve started a new newsletter for Gaea Goddess Gathering! Coming up in September right here in Missouri. Earthprayer! My special offering for May is an Earthprayer series unfolding via the Goddess Magic Mystery School. This series includes weekly live practices, daily posts, inspiring rituals, and FOUR printable card decks for exploring our daily themes. Life’s Bits and Pieces: May I remember I am not here to watch from the edges, but to co‑create in the ceremony of life's unfolding.May I choose with wise discernment what I will tend in my cauldron of creation.May I return, again and again, to my own sacred center. And, may I trust that some wishes are meant to wander on the wind, carrying my magic farther than I can see. reading: (to self) Living in Process—while I have a couple of complaints about this book in terms of what feels like missing information/explanation, I am really enjoying the exploration of living in process, remembering the this earth, this world, this life is not static, it is an unfolding and each of us has a process to live and explore. (to kids) Aenir, book three in the Seventh Tower series—I actually finished the second book, The Castle, in between April’s newsletter and this one. I’m still enjoying this series, in which everything the main character has thought to be true about his life and world unravels as he discovered how much more lies outside the shadowy boundaries of his life. (listening to with Tanner): Brian’s Hunt—the final book in the survival classic series that developed after Hatchet. Since I last wrote, we also listened to The River, Brian’s Winter, and Brian’s Return. We also continued our Gary Paulsen festival by listening to Northwind, which is about a Viking-era type of boy who has to survive alone on the sea. (listening to by self): Sisters in the Wind—I’ve barely begun this one, as I only recently finished listening to Warrior Girl, Unearthed. This is the third book following Firekeeper’s Daughter, but it actually takes place temporally between the events of Firekeeper and Warrior Girl. I actually liked Warrior Girl, Unearthed more than Firekeeper’s Daughter overall, but I was really left frustrated by the many holes in the ending. Each of these books is a 12+ hour listen, so be prepared! Note: I am on Fable if you want to follow along with what I read there! Playfulness, Sweetness, and Heart-Healing Happy May! Marshmallow and Raspberry are our herbal allies for May—soft, spiky, sweet, and resilient. In this month's video, we embark on an exploration of Beltane, centered on the Egyptian cat goddess Bast (Bastet). We weave together goddess wisdom, plant medicine, crystal allies, and animal guidance to support a season of love, playfulness, and heart-healing. May you be playful this month. May you pause to listen to your heart. And, may you savor sweetness in the ordinary moments Reminder: I do create monthly handbooks for members of our Goddess Magic Mystery School community and May’s handbook is available here. Expanded post available here. And, bonus affirmation set for paid subscribers is included at the bottom of this newsletter (scroll down). Questions to explore: Do you know how to play as you are now (at this age, in this season of life)? What does play mean to you today? Where might you be trying to “straighten” what is meant to be delightfully cattywampus? What would it feel like to bless the imperfect instead of fixing it? Where can you soften in your life—physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually? What rough edges are currently rubbing at your spirit, and how might you soften them? Where do you feel “thin,” leaky, or drained in your life or energy body right now? What fears or resentments are hurting you from the inside out? What would it look like to begin releasing even a little of that today? If your heart could speak freely, what would it say it needs in order to remember how to be whole? What idea, project, or dream are you ready to make manifest in this season? Affirmations: I allow playfulness to enrich my life. I find pleasure in the small moments. I follow what pleases me. I am rich in so many ways. I understand the sacred nature of the cattywampus way. I embrace the tender beauty in imperfection. I am playful. I dance in the love light of a benevolent Mother Goddess. I am rooted in love. I pause and return to center. I breathe deep and listen. I allow myself to delight in the sweetness of life. I am open to ease in the present. I soften and rediscover sweetness. I remember I am already whole. I am fierce and wild. Inhabiting the crossroads… I watch the orioles, orange and black embersagainst a backdrop of green. They do not know what is on my lists.Standing under this sky, this day,I remember:when we let the litany of the undonerun away with us,we forget to inhabit the real. The orioles are here today.Tomorrow is still only a rumor. Sometimes I feel like I’ve been “camping out” at a long, extended crossroads—combination of midlife re-evaluation, changing family constellations and needs, and simply living in the in‑between on a changing earth.Midlife invites us to recognize and hold the reality that we can’t live every possible life and can’t say yes to every shimmering door. But you can:+Listen for your own full yes from the wise guide within. +Make peace with the paths that must pass you by.+Trust that new doors appear because you let others close.A mini blessing for today:“May I choose with wise discernment, even when it means letting good things go.” Embodying the Goddess: Guest Video about Beauty So pleased to share this guest video from Cynthia Abulafia, the author of Embodying the Goddess with you as a special subscriber bonus this month! Where the magic is… This is where the magic is, right where we are, where we touchthe mighty mystery, step into the sacred, and ease into the boundless, right where it touches us.Gently, now, we invite ourselves to remember.Bravely, now, we invite ourselves to reclaim.Firmly, now, we invite ourselves to return. We need not seek the absolute or long for the holy,we need only to open our eyes and reach out our hands, right here, right now, we have already arrived. April's Herbal Ally: Dandelion

And so, March slides easily away between the trees, whispering of storm clouds, sudden frost, and sunshine on new bloomed wild plums. She leaves stars of chickweed in the grass and dandelions lifting bright and eager faces to the sky.She holds the door for April, who is nudging her way in, skirts wide and capable, dotted with dogwood blossoms and redbud flowers. There are lilacs in her hair and violets on her shoes and lilies in her hands. We rise to greet her, hands outstretched in welcome, turning briefly to wave to March as she backs away, having done what she could with what she had to bless the land, to remind us of the bond between body and soil, between root and bone, between bloom and blood.Thank you,we wave, blowing a kiss as April sweeps across the threshold and catches us up in her danceof emerging. Welcome to this week’s Rituals of Returning newsletter! I am so pleased to announce that pre-orders for print copies of my new book, Thunder and Roses, are now open! Orders from the Etsy shop include special bonuses only available directly from us. The book becomes available worldwide in print on May 1 and is also available for pre-order on Kindle. This week's magic: 14 minute mini ritual video: wisdom in the weeds. Extra video: what is in my (magic) bag! My newest essay at Feminism and Religion shares 13 lessons from the spring. Fiddlehead goddesses! When we were searching for morels this past weekend, I was delighted to discover how well the Shakti I had with me matched the unfurling fiddlehead ferns! So, we made some more! Where fiddleheads are tightly furled, you know there’s magic in the world. Stepping into the Cauldron of Creation Within the bubbling depths,I honor my story and trust my process.I am not behind.I am not too late.I am in process, and my process is sacred.I am a woman unleashed.I am a person unleashed.I am a cauldron of creation. My special offering for April is a Cauldron of Creation series unfolding via the Goddess Magic Mystery School. A brief overview video is here. This series includes weekly live practices, rituals, and a printable card deck! Life’s Bits and Pieces: Today is a ritual of sky and skin, of bare branches and possibility. Today is a ritual of reclamation and recovery. Today is a new opportunity to forgive ourselves, to wrap ourselves in a cloak of graceand to come back home to ourselves with love. reading: (to self) The First Witches Club—one of the free Kindle reads for March, I believe, this book is about three very different woman whose marriages abruptly come to an end and they team up, working at a little apothecary shop with a wise Crone who owns it. (to kids) The Fall, book one in the Seventh Tower series—I have these books for ages and finally decided to read them. This one is about a boy who lives in a tower in a world of darkness except for the light that comes from “Sunstones” that they have to charge with light beyond the “veil” that surrounded their world. He falls off the tower into another land of ice and snow and has to try to get back to the tower. So far, it is pretty interesting, though my daughter doesn’t really like it. (listening to with Tanner): Hatchet—the survival classic for pre-teen boys, we’ve already listened to this one before and Tanner has read it to himself (and I’ve also read it to myself as a kid). About a boy who gets in a plane crash on his way to Alaska and has to survive with only a hatchet to keep him company. (listen to self): Warrior Girl Unearthed—I’ve just barely begun this one, it is the second book following Firekeeper’s Daughter and is about the twin nieces of the main character in the first book. It might a little much for me right on the heels of the other one, so I might take a break from listening to it. Thinking about: Doing more local events—I’m reading at PoetSpeak in town again next weekend and was invited to come to a local authors event at the library in a neighboring county for this month as well. I’ve joined several Missouri writers organizations this year. I’m also considering submitting to the Missouri Writers’ Guild contest and going to their conference in St. Louis in September. I also joined the Academy of American Poets! How much I enjoyed going to a sound bath meditation/ritual in town this week! Making a couple of revisions to Return—I discovered a big error in the final section of it this week (no #3 in my “Extras” section. HOW DID I MISS THIS?!). I had a couple of other small notes of minor changes to make, so I’m trying to make space to fix those all at once. This isn’t a book revision or second edition, just minor corrections. Looking forward to: Simple and Sacred Open Mic night tonight! We have a live circle every month. For notices, make sure you are on the #30DaysofGoddess email list. Sharing: Karen Tate’s new book, The Divine Feminine! I’ve always loved Karen’s articulation of Goddess as “deity, archetype, and ideal” (which leaves space for everyone to connect with her in some way) and I was pleased to endorse her new book! Wisdom in the Weeds: Dandelion Double click to interact with video Happy April! Reminder: I do create monthly handbooks for members of our Goddess Magic Mystery School community and April’s handbook is available here. Dandelion is our herbal ally for April—bright, persistent, resilient. They offer us this invitation: Keep turning your bright little face and your bright little hopes, to the sun, despite what comes. Hope is a practice. Persistence is a practice. Faith is a practice. This month, may we draw courage and inspiration from dandelions, resilient and radiant, even in challenging conditions and rocky, rough terrain What helps you keep turning toward the light? How are you navigating the rocky landscape of living? You will also enjoy the free booklet “Recipes and Rituals of The Herb Crafter’s Tarot” by Joanna Powell Colbert and Letisha Guthrie, which inspired some of the dandelion practices mentioned in this video. Joanna’s nourishing Substack may also be found here: Messages from Sea & Cedar with Joanna Powell Colbert. Remember: You already know the kind of nourishment you need—trust yourself, let your environment nourish you, and seek the wisdom in the weeds and overlooked places of your life as you step into the Cauldron of Creation. Questions to consider: Where are the “weeds” in your life that might actually be medicine or teachers? What overlooked or ordinary thing in your environment might be quietly supporting you? What “dream seeds” have you been holding in the dark that might be ready for light and warmth? If you stepped forward like The Fool, what new path or project would you begin—even if you don’t feel ready? What old stories or baggage are weighing you down that you’re ready to set aside? Where in your life are you willing to be a beginner again? What ideas, projects, or desires are currently bubbling and brewing in your inner cauldron? What small daily practice helps you realign with the sacred and restore yourself to wholeness? Affirmations to consider: I follow my dream seeds. I am audacious in my adventuring. I seek the wisdom in weeds. I keep my mind open. I am willing to experience life as a beginner. I give myself time and space to bubble and brew, to let new ideas and possibilities emerge. I know the kind of nourishment I need. I am a wildly complex human, perfect in my imperfection (from Amanda at The Phoenix Soul, Messy Affirmations) May you be well nourished this month.May you trust that you know the kind of nourishment you need.May you honor your wild complexity and seek the wisdom in the weeds. Today… We have felt the yearning stirring beneath the surface, beckoning us to stretch, to reach, to root, to rise. Now, we sense sunlight above the surface, feel the urge to crack open, to emerge into the wonder of day.It is now when we leap together in the direction of our dreams, leaving worry and fear behind us as we rememberwe can fly. Sending love to all of you. Keep living your magic, Molly, Mark, + Family This is a public episode. Celebrating the Spring

Today, as life cascades all at once, may I remember that my body is holy ground.May I grant myself a sacred buffer, necessary white space, margins around the edges of doing, one pause, one breath, one honest enough. Life’s Bits and Pieces: We have rootsand we have wings, thunder in our hearts, roses in our hands. We are edgewalkers on March’s threshold, new in our boneswhen we choose. reading: (just finished): The Demon Lover—as perhaps expected by the title, this one begins as a somewhat smutty, dark-academic, gothic sort of fantasy mystery, but it really evolves into something much more intriguing. Yes, about an incubus, but also about the realm of Faerie and a town in which fantasy creatures and humans co-exist (sometimes with knowledge and sometimes without). (to self) The Water Witch—this is the second book in the Fairwick Chronicles, which began with The Demon Lover above. (to kids): Dragonborn—about a pre-teen girl who discovers there is another realm just out of sight, the realm of dragons. (listening to with Tanner): The Wizard of Oz—we went to see Wizard of Oz on Ice at the university theater last weekend and it inspired us to start listening to the series. I have to say, this is a pro-tip for people who like to get their credits worth out of a trial Audible membership that you’re about to cancel—the complete collection of 22 books is available for ONE credit and NINETY-ONE HOURS of audio. Oh my! (just got on audio): Firekeeper’s Daughter—recommended to me by Amanda Fall, this one is about an indigenous teenager who begins to investigate corruption and conspiracy on the Ojibwe reservation, seeking justice. Thinking about: This quote: “I fear our modern world does not honor our need for stillness in the midst of nonstop busyness. Can we learn to be still enough to embrace the inner self and all it contains? The inner self is calling for balance. Can we practice a wholeness that allows for silence, nature and breath? My hope is yes." —Genevieve Mitchell (Goddess Ink) Resource Reminders: I made a new intro audio about the Goddess Magic Mystery School! Evolving into Becoming Root into your body. Gather all your scattered pieces. Come back to center. Feel your feet connect to the earth. Breathe in. Breathe out. You belong to this moment. This video is a continuation of our allies for March--our animal ally (spring peeper!) as well as chamomile and seaweed! Core reminder: You are allowed to keep becoming. Note: the expanded version of this post is here. Questions to explore: How are you evolving into your next becoming? What is changing for you? What is emerging? How might you need to step out of your comfort zone this month? What would it mean for you to “return to a beginner’s heart”? Where in your life do you feel both tender and full of big dreams? Are you living mostly in the shallows or the depths of your own life right now? If you named this next phase of your becoming, what would you call it? Affirmations: I grow into my fullest potential. My magic continues to grow and evolve. I emerge into my life with wholeness, fullness, and trust. I emerge into the next phase of my becoming. I honor both my tender heart and my big dreams. I reach out for help (and to help). I know the medicine that I need. I am honest with my feelings. Mini ritual with Chamomile as our ally: Affirmations for this ally:I return refreshed to a beginner’s heart.I honor both my tender heart and my big dreams.Practice:Make a gentle cup of chamomile (or another supportive herb if chamomile isn’t right for your body). As you sip, ask: What does my tender heart need today? Fold your hands across your heart and repeat the affirmations, letting them sink into you. Bewitched… Greet the day and all it holds. Root yourself on the earth, steady and supported. Open your arms to the sky, gathering inspiration and vitality. Fold your hands over your heart and let restoration sink into you. Feel a fresh wave of appreciation for all the blessings of your life.
