    Love Shown and Love’s Results

    At Church but Unsaved

    Why Church?

    Who is Wise Among You?

Others love Christ but still think and react like the world around them. True wisdom is something different altogether. When faith in Jesus and a thoroughly biblical way of thinking meet, a person not only sees reality as God sees it, but they walk through it with steady, humble confidence. This kind of wisdom doesn’t just sharpen the mind; it softens the heart—changing our arrogance and contempt for others into the brightness of gracious humility. This kind of wisdom isn't something we can generate on our own.     The Totality of Depravity

The real reason, however, is that people are sinners, and that includes all of us. No fact in existence is more obvious, yet none is as ignored or as unacceptable. God made human beings upright, but we've spent our lives blame-shifting, destroying ourselves and others, and inventing new ways of doing evil. But the good news is that the God we’ve rejected has provided the only means of redemption: His only Son, the Lord Jesus.
