    Santa Catalina is a small island population 4000. every household has a golf buggy parked outside. The use of motor vehicles on the island is restricted there is a limit on the number of registered cars, which translates into a 14- year-long wait list to bring a car to the island. Most residents move around via golf carts.

Immense Balboa Park is the site of the renowned San Diego Zoo, as well as numerous art galleries, artist studios, museums and gardens. A deep harbor is home to a large active naval fleet, with the USS Midway, an aircraft-carrier-turned-museum, open to the public. In this episode I reflect on my encounters with the people of this city.

    I have always wondered what it would be like to travel alone. I have sincere admiration for those that had done before me. That's the biggest reward of solo travel. Solo travel is something that reminds all your senses that you are the leader of your journey. Live the present moment. It teaches you things that you wouldn't have learned if you traveled in a group or with a friend.
