Introducing the panelists: Ashley Artis is a passionate educator dedicated to making math engaging, meaningful, and accessible for all students. The 2026–2027 school year marks her 10th year in education, and she is excited to continue teaching 7th grade mathematics. Throughout her career, Ashley has served as a mathematics department chair, sports coach, and instructional leader, consistently working to empower both students and fellow educators through innovative teaching practices and collaborative learning. Beyond the classroom, she is actively involved in community service and educational leadership, creating opportunities that inspire others to learn, grow, and succeed. Efe Klimmek is an elementary educator, educational researcher, and doctoral student in Curriculum and Instruction at Regent University. With more than a decade of experience in education, she is passionate about creating engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that inspire students to think critically, solve problems, and explore STEM through hands-on discovery. Her professional background includes educational research, data analysis, and STEM-focused classroom instruction, where she integrates technology and engineering design to foster curiosity and innovation. Scott Williams is a 28‑year veteran mathematics teacher and serves as Magnet Coordinator for the High School University Magnet at duPont Manual High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He specializes in advanced math instruction, curriculum design, and structured, high‑expectation learning environments. Scott holds a degree in Secondary Education from Alabama A&M University and a master’s in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University, bringing both deep classroom expertise and strong program leadership to his work.
