71. Forecast for July 22-28, 2024
It's Leo Season babes! The theme is: Strength & Healing. It's a long come down from the coronation this week with deep insights, motivation check ins and pivotal moments along the way. If this sounds like a lot, well, it is. But the weekend is cute and chill and brings a chance to breathe.

70. Forecast for July 15-21, 2024
The week begins with a bang and ends with a Full Moon in Capricorn that feels heavy like the crown. Brace for impact. It's going to feel raw. We get into: the United States Pluto Return's last gasps, Mars on Algol and wild women, the "Make It Work!" (-Tim Gunn) vibes coming in August; Mars in Gemini as a much needed re-do; and cinematic endings. If this week was an album it would be "OK Computer" by Radiohead.

69. Forecast for July 8-14, 2024
It's the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille. Time to start a revolution. Last week's New Moon in Cancer was super dreamy and hopeful, and now it's time to set intentions with that same imaginative intent. Something bigger is brewing under the surface though. Obsession and doubt might creep in, but it's not the time to back away. It's time to leap.

68. Forecast for July 1-7, 2024
Happy New Moon in Cancer!
Neptune stations retrograde and casts a heavy fog over all of this week's proceedings. But despite those stoner vibes, there's still pivots to take, commitments to be made and passions to be steered.

67. Forecast for June 24-30, 2024
Saturn is stationing retrograde which means we've got that giant ringed planet who's all about boundaries playing in surround sound. As I'm typing this description, I'm realizing that I forgot to wax poetic about Penn Badgley's Saturn revelations in a recent interview with Ariana Grande. Watch the clip here. He is def an astrology girlie. This week is kind of intense, but also really delightful and romantic. Enjoy!

66. Forecast for June 17-23, 2024
Happy Cancer season! Happy summer solstice! After so much activity in buzzy intellectual Gemini, this week brings us down to earth and into the river with Mercury, Venus and the Sun all moving into Cancer followed by a revealing Full Moon in Capricorn. We talk: Mercury and Venus in Cancer as the food writer and the revolutionary poet, and how you might finally figure out what April's eclipse season was on about this weekend. What feels good now? What doesn't feel good now but will in the long term?

Do you want to know what’s going on in the universe but don’t have time to study the intricacies of astrology? This is a great podcast to dip in and get answers for the week ahead.
As if we don’t live under the same stars
As a sometimes-fan of astrology information, I was curious when a friend raved about ‘Good Fortune’. I tuned in for quite a few weeks, waiting to feel the ‘aha’ moment of connection or alignment, which never came.
Not all messages are meant for everybody. But as the gen0cide in P@lestine waged on, I was waiting for some acknowledgement or mention, which never seemed to come. I heard vagaries, allusions to global strife, but like many modern wellness practitioners, nothing direct - as if we don’t live under the same stars.
As other fave astrologers have been speaking about our place in the world, this podcast just fell short for me. Finally, on the 3/17 episode, there was a more direct mention - but it was in reference to the Twitter wars in which astrologers “past their Saturn Return” (over 30) are experiencing “personal attacks” in a conversation about how to appropriately politicize astrology.
As always, it was unclear where the host stands in the conversation, and I finally felt the aha moment - that this just isn’t the right source of commentary for me. I was waiting to know that I liked it, instead of trusting that I didn’t.
The low rating is not about the non-politicization of this particular astrology practice specifically, but the emphasis on whether or not different transits would make it a good night to party (not relevant to me, a Covid-cautious person), how some days “just aren’t right for working” (do other listeners not have jobs?), and other interpretations that didn’t align with with life under capitalism. If you want an escape, this may be a great option for you! & escapes are valid.
If you want astrology from folks who talk about the world and how it feels to be in it, I follow Chani Nicholas and Jonathan L. Dent.

Jaime Wright is my faaaavvorite astrologer! Love the simplicity of this podcast and the way Jaime writes and articulates her translation of astrology.
