Came for the magic, stayed for the charm, remembered it for the Tony award worthy stage production

I’ve been listening for a while now and I often burst out laughing with these people! I love the humor and puns and random nonsense about Nicholas Cage or skunks. And I gain a lot as a magic player who is interested in Draft and Commander. However, I think that I might stop listening… nearly every episode has some tangent that gets serious and very forceful where the hosts really press the validity of their political/social/cultural view points. This opinion is often followed by some variety of comment that dismisses anyone who might think differently. Even one episode saying to some extent, “this podcast is not for you if you don’t support this opinion”. I guess it’s not for me then? Dang, I really like the hosts and the magic content but increasingly feel that I am not wanted as a listener just because my non-magic opinions are rejected. I listen to a lot of magic content - Commandzone, MTGGoldfish, LLR, Limited Resources, Drive to Work, EDHrec. None of these content creators have ever made me feel this way, though I assume many of them hold similar viewpoints as the GLHF hosts. Maybe the goal of this podcast is to talk magic AND voice political/social/cultural opinions. That’s valid. But they also just sound a lot like so many creators and prominent figures today, “if you don’t agree with the way I see the world, I don’t want to be around you or hear your opinions”. All the best to the creators, I really have liked hanging out with you!
