    70. God Makes It Grow with Carissa Bleecker

    Carissa Bleecker is a wife, mother, and cofounder of a nonprofit organization called McKinney Roots. MR donates thousands of pounds of fresh produce, eggs, and honey to food banks in the McKinney, Texas area.  And all this started because God planted an idea in the hearts of Carissa and her friend Michelle to use their personal gardens to help feed the food insecure in their community. On the show Carissa shares how they got started and how God has faithfully grown McKinney Roots over the past six plus years.     Dana K. White is a decluttering expert who actually understands struggling to declutter.  In this episode Emily and Dana chat about how Dana became a decluttering expert, much to her own surprise. She also shares how keeping things decluttered is still a struggle for her, and how God has shown her that what He really wanted was her, not for her to have a perfectly clean house. Dana talks about how God wanted her to trust Him with her clutter and how He's used her darkest secret to be the only Christian friend some people have.     66. Adventure Creates Connection with Greta Eskridge

    Greta Eskridge is a mom, wife, second generation homeschooler, author, speaker, adventurer, and so much more. In today's episode Greta and I chat about adventuring with loved ones because she literally wrote the book on taking adventures with your family. In fact, she's written two books on it.  Greta's first book, "Adventuring Together," helped give me the courage I needed to take adventures with my children and husband. So when I saw that she had another book, "100 Days of Adventure," coming out at the end of March, I immediately pre-ordered it and jumped at the chance to interview her about it. Both her books focus mainly on adventuring with your children, but if you have no children or your kids are grown, don't tune out. We chat about adventuring with any loved one - from friends to family, whether you're married, single, or a parent, and Greta wisely observed that the goal of adventuring is connection - adventuring is just the vehicle.  So if you're feeling disconnected, looking for new ways to create connection, or just curious about what adventuring entails, I know you'll enjoy this interview with Greta.     In this episode I chat with Randall Goodgame, creator of Slugs and Bugs music, books, and shows for families. If you've listened for a while, you know how much I love the Slugs and Bugs "Sing the Bible" albums for both my kids and myself. I have learned so much scripture in such a fun way because of these albums!  Randall and I chat about how Slugs and Bugs started, how he uses writing songs with Scripture in his personal life and family life, and ways he's seen God work through something he started for his own kids.
