#14 - Mugabi Byenkya, Writer + Poet
Mugabi is an award winning author, poet and occasional rapper currently based out of Kampala. After publishing his debut novel “Dear Philomena” in 2017, he was selected by the literary festival Writivism as on of the 56 writers who have contributed to Uganada’s literary heritage in the 56 years since Ugandan independence.
We talk about balancing notes from your inner circle with the perspective of an outsider, becoming your own promoter, and coin the term "Mugabi Cinematic Universe."

Malory Torr is a singer song writer and producer based in Toronto and working globally in sessions in London, Nashville and LA. You can hear her songs in placements on shows like Love Island, Queer Eye and Charlie Brooker’s Death to 2020.
We talk about the joys of NOT receiving direct notes, achieving specificity in your lyrics, and the exact number of people you should have in a room when creating according to Malory’s Dad.

#12 - Jason Lee, Hair Stylist + Entrepreneur
Jason is a hair stylist and salon owner, he has won the L’Oreal Colour Trophy and was the first-ever winner of the superstar hair challenge television show on Canada’s Slice Network. Most recently, Jason has launched a luxury hair care line called Mela & Kera.
We talk about storytelling with a haircut, being a good mentor and dancing while Madonna’s watching.

Steph is the voice director for Paw Patrol and a voice actor on shows like Wishfart and Mysticons. She’s also the bassist for the band A Primitive Evolution as well as a composer and session musician.

Drew Thomas is composer, producer, engineer, and general audio wizard. In addition to their commercial work they are also the bassist and singer of the punk band 'there there' and release lofi jams under the name Tetra. They also produce this show, cool!
