Awesome podcast, when I first started listening it got me to rewatch random episodes of Gossip Girl.
Since you've been asking what listeners think about Dair and most guest dislike Dair, I thought I might drop a line.
Dair fans are out there (I've become one since my last watch). I think the benefit of rewatching shows throughout the years is seeing how your perspective change. At different points in your life you relate to different characters, sail on different ships.
At 19 I shipped Nate/Blair and Chuck/Blair. And I still like Chuck/Blair scenes when they are not played to epic proportions. But at 28 I see how toxic a Chuck/Blair relatioship is after real life exposure to abusive relationships.
I support Dair because it requires miles of character development on both ends for them to eventually become a couple. And they are the only major Blair ship that is not a piece of furniture or a hair removal product brand, and lends itself to puns like "Dare to ship Dair". Though admittedly the journey to Dair was more exciting than the relationship itself. Once Dan and Blair got together they were boring to watch. Because this is television and we watch to be entertained, I am okay with this ship not making ashore, though season 6 Chuck/Blair got hiked up to the max that it became a satire of itself. It would have been nice to have a Dan and Blair resolution at least as friends. They can support eachother and push eachother to grow. There are many important relationships one has in their lives, and not all of them have to be romantic.
