The world is on fire, but this podcast is great

Absolutely love this podcast. At the end of weeks that feel more and more like years, it's such a pleasure to listen to two passionate critics debate and discuss movies both new and old. Grierson and Leitch manage to make their reviews thoughtful and personal, while acknowledging the world, culture, and industry that these movies are(/were) being created in. For the reboot section, I'd love to hear them discuss "Passing Strange." I'm a huge musical theater nerd and I consider it to be one of the most under-appreciated rock musicals of all time: a kickass score, beautifully poetic lyrics, and true bohemians that would make the trust-fund kids in Rent move back home with their parents. I'm forever grateful that Spike Lee filmed the original production, as I never would have gotten to see it otherwise. Keep up the great work!

Thoughtful and sensitive analysis

These two are more thoughtful than your average film critic. They respect each other's intelligence and opinion and they take turns, giving each other time and space to speak at length without interrupting, during which they actually seem to be listening to one another and not simply waiting for their turn to speak. I'd be curious to hear them talk about 'The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover' if they have the stomach for it.

Best movie podcast

This is the best movie review podcast there is. Full stop. I really appreciate the breadth of movies they choose, and the gravitas with which they discuss them. What I really value is the time spent on each discussion - it really adds to my own appreciation of movies and, perhaps most importantly for a review podcast, helps me decide whether or not to a particular movie is worth my attention, and why or why not. For a reboot review, I’d love a discussion of David Lynch’s “Inland Empire.”
