I found the podcast within a couple days of it starting, and I’ve been following along as I re-watch justified again and again.
The guys do a great job recapping the episodes, without going TOO deep into the Justified universe, along with a nice mix of pop culture from the 2010-2015 era and a bit of just 2 friends just talking and having a good time. Some other reviewers feel they get too political, but I don’t see it as a problem at all. It’s just 2 guys chatting while talking about a show they both obviously enjoy.
Give them a listen, overall it’s one of my favorite podcasts overall covering an outstanding series.
If they decide to do another show after justified, and I really hope they do. I hope they consider doing Mr. Inbetween (an Australian show almost nobody knows about, which is a shame because it’s one of the best things I’ve watched in the last 30 years) it’s only 3 short seasons and most episodes are about 30 minutes, but it is amazing. It’s one of the few shows I immediately re-watched after finishing it the first time. The series is one of the most quotable and re-watchable series I have ever seen. It’s a shame it only was 3 seasons and unlike most other series, it went out on top with a fantastic finale’s that felt right, and yet it could also let the series continue in the future if the creator decides to late more. The fact that basically one completely unknown guy wrote, created and stars in it is something I don’t think wa sever done before.
Damion Herriman (Dewey) has a large role in Mr inbetween, and he is hilarious as always. That guy is a chameleon as an actor, and he is absolutely fantastic in every show he is in.
Deadwood would also make a Great podcast, as I don’t feel anyone has ever truly done a good deadwood podcast (at least I haven’t found one)
Another fun short series is Santa Clarita Diet, and it is way better than I thought it would be, and it has tons of justified actors making cameos. They even talk about “is it Real-tour or Real-TER” in an episode, Olyphant is a MUCH better comedic actor than most casual watchers would ever think.
Thanks for all your hard work, and I hope you guys keep going
