Let us journey together as we tell God’s story in song and proclamation. People: Let us ponder what we have seen and heard, what we know to be true, and what we hope beyond hope is real. Leader: Let us walk, that our minds might be clear, our hearts open, and our spirits renewed. People: Behold, God journeys with us; Jesus walks beside us. May the Spirit give us eyes to see the risen Christ: All: Here and everywhere, now and always. Let us worship God! HYMN: “I Surrender All” - #354 (1st & last vs.) MORNING PRAYER: Sometimes our faith life is like a journey in which we have four flat tires, no change for the thruway, and children crying “Are we there yet?”. We just try to get through it. Be with us on these journeys. Bring us hope and comfort. Remind us that we will be “OK”, that God is walking with us. This week so many things have happened in our lives. Some of these things have been wonderful and cause our hearts to rejoice; other things have torn at our spirits seeking to bring us down. Lift us up, Lord. Open our eyes to you. Help us to see your presence in all your world. Give us courage and strength for all the journeys ahead so that even flat tires and fussing children will not deter us from our destination. Amen. People: Jesus breaks through with a word of peace. Leader: Fears are banished! People: Hope is more than restored Leader: Rejoice! The Lord is with us! People: We rejoice in the peace and blessings he brings. AMEN. HYMN: “Crown Him with Many Crowns” - #327 MORNING PRAYER: Lord, we come to you this day, seeking peace and release from our fears and our darkness. We know that you are here with us, guiding, healing and loving us. Help us to reach out to others with the same love you give to us. Make us people who bring words of compassion and hope, actions of help and lovingkindness, to all we meet. Place our feet on the pathway of life, offering ourselves and our gifts for your holy realm. Encourage us to grow and learn about ministries of reconciliation and compassion. When we falter, pick us up. When we fail, remind us that you believe in us. When we turn and run because of our fear, bring us home again. These things we ask in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
