Episode 20: Growing Up in the Age of Gun Violence

Episode 20: Growing Up in the Age of Gun Violence

It felt inappropriate and insignificant to discuss anything other than the heaviness, despair and grief we are collectively feeling after the Uvalde, Texas tragedy in the USA less than one week ago. It feels particularly horrifying when we consider the ages of most victims, while also adding to the weight of other current events (2+ years into a deadly pandemic, a war in Ukraine, divisive political climate, countless attacks on women and BIPOC as well as gender identity and sexuality... the list goes on.) In this episode I invited early childhood educator, mother, and good friend, "Ms. Katie" to offer her expertise through the eyes of both a teacher and a parent. It is a heavy but necessary conversation in this day and age. You ready? It's time to GROW UP.

Wow!….

Amy has a way of saying things we may have thought but never could quite put words to. Grow Up is full of thought-provoking content that helps you explore your inner child as an adult. What a fantastic way to be presented with ways to begin healing our selves, especially while raising our own children/nieces/nephews/niblings. I can’t wait to hear more!!
