We discover Nina’s personal journey with breast cancer and how the moonwalk was set up in 1998 for those who wanted to support the charity but were unable to get a palace in the London Marathon to raise funds. Catherine explains how cultural expectations, such as being told to “stay”, “hold the family together” or “protect the marriage” can make it even harder for women to seek help, speak out, or be believed. This includes emotional support, help with reporting abuse, access to education, and guidance around legal support, all delivered in a way that is culturally aware, respectful and centred around the woman herself.
