Grasping God’s Word with Dr. Danny Hays
Many of us struggle to read, understand, and apply the Bible to our lives. Even as disciples of Jesus it can feel like a muscle we just can’t seem to strengthen. Dr. Danny Hays helps us with this problem on the podcast today! As a professor at Ouachita, he has written a book called Grasping God’s Word, which lays out a five step “interpretive journey.” 1) Grasp the text in their town; 2) Measure the width of the river to cross; 3) Cross the principlizing bridge; 4) Consult the biblical map; and 5) Grasp the text in our town. This is a fun conversation, and I hope it’s helpful for you. Enjoy!

Leadership, Influence, and the Next Generation with Dr. Jeff Struecker
Dr. Jeff Struecker spent 22 years in the US Army, where he learned what it looked like to lead people toward a common goal. Most famously, he played a key role in the Battle of Mogadishu (portrayed in the movie Black Hawk Down). Today on the podcast he shares his (incredible) story and talks about what it looks like to leverage your influence to lead others towards Christ in a Great Commission kind of way. Enjoy!
