Engineers and Entrepreneurs with Lane Kawaoka

I kept a big secret for 12 years as a Licensed Professional (PE) Civil/Industrial Engineer, during that time I had been quietly building a rental property portfolio. I stared investing in 2009 in rainy Seattle, being a ramen-eating cheapo I was able to buy a property early right after college. After discovering the difference between ‘Cashflow Investing’ and ‘Appreciation Investing (i.e. gambling / speculating)’… I moved my portfolio into 11 single family rentals in Birmingham, Atlanta, Indianapolis, and Pennsylvania. Today, I am investing in syndications, which invest in Class C & B Multi-Family Apartment, RV Parks, mobile homes, and assisted living facilities because of this Nation’s demand for affordable housing – not rich-people Class-A assets. My mission is to help regular people into good deals that were once only accessible to the rich. The passive income from investing in stabilized rental properties made it possible for me to move back home. Today I help people get started with my 2x best selling books and podcast. Annoyed by the bogus real estate education programs out there (that take money from people who don’t have it in the first place), I set out to make this free website to help other hard-working professionals, the shrinking middle-class. I hope to dispel the Wall-Street dogma of traditional wealth-building, and offer an alternative to “garbage” investments in the 401K/mutual funds that only make the insiders rich. We help the hard-working middle-class build real asset portfolios, by providing free investing education, podcasts, and networking, plus access to investment opportunities not offered to the general public. The Author's Midwife with Anita Henderson

Entrepreneurship wasn’t Anita’s goals list early in her career. She wanted the professional title, the corner office with the window, the assistant right outside her door, the fat paycheck, the expense account, and all the other benefits of corporate success. She got all that, then got burned out. When an unexpected opportunity landed in her lap, she jumped at it. Entrepreneurship called out to her loud and clear. That was more than twenty-five years ago. Since then, she has started two companies (one a partnership), written nine books, and dipped her toe back into corporate a few times before finally retiring from the 9-to-5 more than a decade ago. Anita has also hosted a radio show, an internet TV program, and a podcast.  Known as The Author’s Midwife, she now enjoys guiding C-suite execs and seasoned entrepreneurs to write, publish, and leverage their books to position themselves as authorities. As an author coach and book publishing strategist, she shares the secrets to writing and publishing a bestselling and award-worthy book through her Write Your Life Author Coaching Program. She is the author of Becoming the Minimalist Entrepreneur: Lessons Learned From My Journey to Work Less, Earn More, and Play More. Her greatest joy as a business owner is learning from her mistakes and failures. There have been many, which means she’s learned a lot. But the growth and rewards have been instrumental in making her the leader and the minimalist entrepreneur she is today. Bob Gonzalez, author of A Flicker in the Water (Inside the Tales) is taking readers on an unforgettable sea adventure that readers whether they be young or old will be reading then re-reading for the rest of their lives. But A Flicker in the Water promises to provide much more than just an adventure within its pages. A Flicker in the Water is an experience to be felt. A Flicker in the Water is written in a way that brings the sea, especially the Gulf of Mexico to life with its entertaining stories. As well as for the educational value it gives readers. Experienced seaman & landlubbers alike will be able to learn a lot about our oceans & its inhabitants with each turn of A Flicker in the Water’s pages. A FLICKER IN THE WATER (Inside the Tales) is Bob’s second published work. The first one being a book of poems called “Eagle Claws for Freedom’s Cause” The latter was so well received it provided the impetus to write "A Flicker in the Water. I have always enjoyed the outdoors, especially deep sea fishing and I made the effort to focus my book on those stories. Bob is now delving into his third book called “Those Championship Times” ; the release date has yet to be determined. All of Bob’s books contain the word play he has become known for and enjoys doing. Bob was raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania where he enjoyed Whitetail Deer hunting. His first Buck was taken in below zero weather. I will leave that story for future telling. Bob now lives in Florida where he enjoys wearing shorts & sneakers everyday without having to worry about the thermostat. After making it all the way to game six of the 2020 World Series Bob soon hopes to see the Tampa Bay Rays win the World Series. But for now plans to keep himself busy writing about and landing the “Big Ones” Learn more about Bob: Https://flickerinthewater.com
