    EP387 Krista Moreland Testimonial

Everybody loves a comeback story, and guest Krista Moreland fits the bill.  She had built her business from nothing, grinding day in and day out, and six years later she wasn’t where she wanted to be.  She had spent $30k in a year on marketing help and still wasn’t finding herself in front of her ideal clients.  She redid her resume and was mentally preparing to quit her gym and get a 9-5.  A friend of hers talked her into talking to Jesse before throwing in the towel.  She was skeptical but decided to try one last push.  By the end of her first month in the Habit Based Lifestyle program, she had 7 new clients.  Now 10 months into the program, she has doubled her revenue.  She encourages anyone who’s struggling with their business to give this authentic and powerful program a try.

    EP386 40 Years of Zen Pt #2

Grudges take energy.  They eat up our time in the present and prevent us from looking toward the future.  Learning to forgive is essential to moving forward in life.  Without it, you will always be stuck in the past.  The irony of it all is we don’t have to learn to forgive other people.  We only have to learn how to forgive ourselves.  Join me as I share my experience at 40 Years of Zen.

    EP385 40 Years of Zen Pt 1

Living a challenge-based lifestyle means creating measurable goals and targets to shoot for.  After many years of living this lifestyle, I realized that I had accomplished a lot in body, balance, and business, but I had largely neglected going deep into being.  To be completely transparent, I believe I was avoiding it because it’s simply harder to quantify.  After all this time, I finally decided to dive deep into being and go down the path of 40 Years Of Zen.  While I’m not going to go into intricate details of the program, in this three part series I will dive into my time in Seattle and what I took away from the experience.

EP383 4 Ways to sharpen your saw

As the old bible verse goes, “If the ax is dull, and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but wisdom brings success.” -Ecclesiastes !0:10.  Do you understand the importance of sharpening your saw?  It’s one of the 7 habits of highly effective people. So many times, people will wear working long hours as a badge of honor.  Wouldn’t you rather be able to get the same amount of work done in less time?  The answer lies in having a sharpened saw.  Whether you’re working on your physical, mental, relational, spiritual, or financial health, you should always be looking to improve.  It’s as easy as spending the first 60 minutes of your day focused on you and your betterment.  Just imagine what you could accomplish in the other 23 hours of the day if you’re operating at your best.

EP382 Treating marketing like a diet

EP382 Treating marketing like a diet

Do you treat your marketing like you treat a diet?  Are you taking shortcuts or having cheat days?  Are you looking at it as something you do temporarily, instead of looking at it as a lifestyle change?  Many times people will go on a diet to prepare for a vacation or wedding, making it a circumstantial event.  The same goes for marketing, people will need new clients or extra income, so they start marketing their services in desperation.  If you want these to be lifelong changes, you have to work at it consistently.  For both marketing and dieting, you get out of it exactly what you put into it.  If you’re not getting the results you expect, reverse engineer it and pinpoint where you’re falling short.

    EP381 RISK-+Resistance=Results

    EP381 RISK-+Resistance=Results

Do you expect results without resistance?  Think about working out; are you just going through the motions, or are you challenging yourself with a high degree of resistance?  Often, the greater the amount of resistance, the greater the results.  Many clients talk about waiting for the perfect time to do something.  They wait until there’s little to no risk involved, but they fail to realize that the less the risk, the less the results.  Whether you're talking about getting out of debt, starting a new business, or stopping a bad habit, there’s no greater time than right here, right now.  Jesse encourages listeners to apply the following equation when they feel like they have to risk something: risk+/-resistance=results.  Write this equation down, really think about it. When trying to make a change, often resistance can be a sign that we’re going in the right direction.
