Hack and Slash: A Horror Podcast

I enjoy listening to these guys before I go to sleep. They have a unique style of talknig through the plot and interjecting opinions and words in between. It's a great way to experience a film a second time or get familiar with it for the first time.

Me and my son are new fans to this podcast. I expected the usual capsule reviews and sycophant comments but I was wrong. Instead, each episode is a very fair deconstruction of horror classics as well as their lesser reviewed sequels and incarnations. They express quiet (and hilarious) outrage when analyzing scenes marred by lazy writing or bad editing. Speaking of, their scathing review of the dreadful ghastly Psycho Gus Van Sant remake was like a cathartic therapy session. Other than that, I think my son covered it. Keep it up y'all.

This podcast is only okay. I've seen about 7 episodes where you review Scream: TV Series. I, myself, am fully caught up with the show and I like it a lot. It's fair for you to say that the first season of Scream was more of a teen drama than a slasher series. Though, I feel like Season 2 has really taken it up a notch with the horror and slasher aspects of the show. You apparently still do not like it and constantly bash the new season but I feel like that is just because of your disliking of the first season. Now you constantly hate the teen drama aspects of the show but when it's an MTV show, that is what your gonna get. I feel as if you do not like Scream: The TV Series because it is very different from the movies. I will say that the movies are more horror-like but the show has better character development. You seem to dislike the little moments between each character but that just gives us more insight and more feeling for these characters so we will feel something for when/if they are killed off. Overall, I give this podcast 3 stars.
