    Lorraine Downes

    Lorraine Downes was thrust into the international spotlight when she became the first, and still the only New Zealander to win the Miss Universe title in 1983. Such a coveted crown has come with high demands and expectations, and she's been a household name ever since. A career in modelling and styling has been hugely successful, and along the way she's had two wonderful children and written two successful books. She's also had periods away from the spotlight, contrasting with the very public cancer battle of her late husband, New Zealand cricket great Martin Crowe, who died in 2016. Throughout all this, Lorraine has become known for her grace and humility, with a philosophical approach to her challenges and an unselfish acceptance of her successes.     Alexia Hilbertidou

    Alexia is the founder and CEO of GirlBoss NZ - an 11,000 strong army of young women who are determined to achieve gender equality in their lifetimes. Dismayed by the under representation of women in leadership roles Alexia founded GirlBoss when she was just 16. Encouraging young women to embrace STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), leadership and entrepreneurship, GirlBoss is now New Zealand’s largest organisation for young women. It’s members are shrugging off the statistics and preparing themselves to take their seats at the table - the boardroom table that is. At 17, Alexia was the youngest person to lead a research project at the New Zealand Treasury - and at 18 - she was selected to seek new stars and planets on the NASA SOFIA mission. She was named the most influential young leader under the age of 25 at the Westpac Women of Influence awards and recently returned from Buckingham Palace where she received the Queen’s Young Leader medal for services to the commonwealth. She is the youngest Commonwealth citizen to ever receive this honour. Alexia proves that you are never too young (or too short) to be an agitator for change

    James Nokise

    James Nokise will be a familiar name to those who know New Zealand's comedy circuit, but he's actually someone with far more strings to his bow than you may realise. He's an award-winning stand up comedian, having toured internationally on the International Fringe Festival, but he's also a respected theatre maker and playwright, as well as an insightful mental health commentator. James writes comedy for 7 Days and is a regular radio panellist on social issues In amongst that, he hosts his own podcast, which is based around himself and a guest eating fried chicken in the shower. This insightful chat covers a lot of ground, from James’s start in comedy and his experience in the industry.     Lisa is the founder of Eat My Lunch, one of NZ’s most successful for-profit social businesses, on a mission to ensure no child goes to school hungry. Lisa believes that business cannot just be about making money anymore and business can (and should) bring about social change. Using an innovative model, Eat My Lunch has shown you can do well and do good at the same time. Lisa was one of three finalists for New Zealander of the Year 2019, acknowledging not just her desire to address the issue of kids going to school hungry, but using her passion, creativity and commercial expertise to make it a reality. Eat My Lunch has Given over 1.3 million lunches in just 4 years and is an innovative and successful model that is sustainably transforming the lives of Kiwi kids. In March this year, Lisa was named MYOB Woman Entrepreneur of the Year giving her the opportunity to share Eat My Lunch to an audience of 1500 in Paris. She chats to Simone about her career before Eat My Lunch, the inspiration behind her idea and the journey she went on once she decided to embark on an entrepreneurial life! Lisa is incredibly inspiring and down to earth with some wonderful words of wisdom to be shared with listeners.

    Iyia Liu

    Iyia Liu is a New Zealand based entrepreneur. At the age of 21, she founded the shape-wear company Waist Trainer, selling thousands of products per week to over 90+ countries around the world. In 2016, she launched supplement company Luxe Fitness, again growing it into a million dollar global business within the first few months. In 2017, she sold both Waist Trainer and Luxe Fitness to then start e-commerce fashion retailer Bambi Boutique, and in July 2018 founded e-commerce gift box company Celebration Box. Iyia is very passionate about helping others to achieve and succeed, and founded the Girls in Business Organisation in 2017. The group garnered more than 50,000 NZ and Australian members within 1 year, and has now become a string of networking and conference style events, to inspire others to achieve their goals and dreams.

    Antonia Prebble

    Antonia's resume is vast. From The Tribe and Power Rangers to Pork Pie and Outrageous Fortune, she has forged a reputation as someone able to play complex roles requiring intensity and humour, while always making her characters extremely likeable. Her talent has been recognised in many ways around the world, including winning Best Actress at the New Zealand TV Awards last year for her portrayal of Rita West in Westside. Antonia is someone who has been in the public eye since a young age, growing up in the fishbowl of New Zealand, while also keeping her feet on the ground.
