Worthless Religion
The book of James says if you have no control of your tongue, then your religion is worthless. You cannot perfectly control your tongue; you need something outside yourself. An unbridled tongue brings destruction, but the Spirit of God brings true freedom.

God’s Time and Your Time
Most of the stress, regret, and misery in our lives comes from poor timing. God’s timing is perfect. He doesn’t reveal the future to us because it would overwhelm us, and He wants us to trust Him. If you are in “God’s waiting room,” it may be to build your character or test your faith; will you trust Him?

God Will Provide for You
With every promise of God in scripture, there is a premise. Faith grows when in the difficulty of trials we trust God to take care of us. He will provide for us (promise), and trials test our faith so God can bless our lives (premise).

We receive salvation only when we acknowledge our spiritual disability. In John 9, Jesus uses the lens of physical disability to teach us about spiritual healing.

Do You Influence or Follow?
America’s founding fathers believed that apart from adherence to holy scriptures and the God of the holy scriptures, the freedom they sought would never last. Real freedom is given by God, and the key to maintaining personal and national freedom is trusting God and obeying His laws. We can make this world better and brighter if we follow the Leader.

Navigating an Unclear Future
2020 taught us afresh that the future is uncertain. We often make three mistakes about the future: making plans without asking God, presuming we have tomorrow, and putting of doing what is good. To have God’s blessing, involve Him in your planning by praying and asking for wisdom (James 1:5), and also by living one day at a time, making it count.
