White-Knuckle Rollercoaster Ride of Unexpected Twists

Brilliant. You will laugh. You will want to cry. You will pump your fist in the air. FINALLY, a frighteningly intelligent Voldemort, a no-nonsense Harry, a believable Draco redemption story, and an uncompromising Hermione take center stage in an unforgettable epic tale. Perfect for long car rides.

Harry with a M1911?

Really there is an argument out there for this?
Rowling tried to keep Harry from becoming a killer at every turn. Even in the end fighting with Voldemort, he didn’t Avada Kedavra him. He lectured him on where he went wrong and simply dispatched of him. Our main character wouldn’t be the best person to be given weapons. The Dursley’s would’ve never taken him back or just never let him out from beneath the stairs.
Also what would be the whole point of going through the education at Hogwarts, if you were solving problems Dumbledore couldn’t solve with his vast magical knowledge, by just simply using a gun? Would they be educated on the ins and outs of said weapons? I know that Albus leaves Harry to his own devices more than he should.
I’m confident that Dementors don’t actually have a corporeal body.
Also as many times as Harry was misled about certain people (like Draco, Snape and eventually even Albus himself) I feel like he might have been killing people who had no reason to be killed. Again like Draco, or even Snape when he kills Dumbledore, which sends him into a blind rage)
Sirius’s death scene would have been horrifying if a grief stricken Harry pulled a gun and mowed down half of the Death Eaters. No amount of talking would have stopped him.
The whole point of them disarming instead of killing in battle was actually believe it or not something instilled into them by the one and only Snape starting in the second year during the Dueling Club. Which came in handy for the final battle in book 7. As an American I’ll admit cold steel changes the whole dynamic of situations however they are not always the appropriate choice.
Good podcast otherwise I am enjoying it so far. It is interesting to see what it would be like if Harry was more scientific than just simply blown away by the Magic. I am only 5-6 episodes in and I love the dialogue he has with McGonagall.

Absolutely Amazing

Mash Artemis Fowl and Ender Wiggen into a single person and put them in hogwarts and that's HPMOR. Draco's transformation, Hermoine's heroinism, Quirell's intelligence, the humanist/rationalist lessons... this podcast is amazing.
