Harvey in Hell

I can understand how those who are new to the world of audio drama or those who aren’t familiar with Howie the milkman might be a little skeptical halfway through the first episode, but you must give it a chance. I am/was a MASSIVE fan of Milkman of St Gaff’s, and while this is a completely separate work, the stylistic choices and narrator’s disposition are very similar. It’s intentional, it gives you a very good sense of the character’s internal workings and how they perceive things, the sometimes “monotonous” (although I would choose a different word to describe, maybe subdued, or introspective…) tone of the protagonist is critical in understanding the full scope of the character and the dynamics of the relationships with other characters who he comes across. So far, I am really enjoying the story,’and if anyone who reads this review and hasn’t already, please go check out The Milkman of St Gaff’s

This one has become my favorite! I really didn’t think I’d like it at first, the monotone reading made me laugh a little, but it definitely grew on me. Can’t wait to hear more of the story.

Lynchian in the best way; dark, weird, haunting, with a protagonist who feels constantly out of his element. The voice of the narrator can be off putting, but if you make it past the first episode, the hooks are in.
