The first couple of seasons were great — well-produced, well-researched, generally biblical, and thoughtful. A lot of even Christian podcasts about the paranormal stray into shaky ground themselves (like ghost hunting, for example), and this was a podcast I felt I could recommend to people that avoided that pitfall.
However, as the episodes went on, enough issues compiled that we no longer listen or recommend the show. Ben and Brian strayed into more questionable ground theologically (are fae angels that may or may not control natural elements? It’s at the very least questionable enough that it shouldn’t come up in so many episodes). They also became increasingly childish (20 straight minutes of ‘your mom’ jokes? Pastors are supposed to be mature), the incessant ads replaced the framework for the topic tying it to biblical principles, and the two men can’t stop flattering each other. I guess this might just be a topic that is dangerous to study for too long without going into dark territory in some way or another. Be careful.
