    I was at a blues music event when this amazing musician, 8 Ball Aitken said , 'The difference between a good guitarist and a great guitarist is 3 hours practice a day.' (He is master guitarist BTW- 8ballaitken.com) It resonated with me because I talk about practice a lot on our Healed.. and Healing Journey! Because we want to heal from the hard stuff AND allow healing to remember our intuition and soul gifts, we need to practice- body, mind and energy. On this episode, discover the 2 ways I talk about practice: 1. Consistent, sacred and devotional practice to honour our journey and who we are. I give lots of examples, such as a meditation practice, breathwork or gratitude practice. Whatever tool or practice feels good to you, apply consistency and watch the magic unfold. 2. Practice our humanness with self-compassion. I share the tough love I received through Spirit and realised I was putting lots of pressure on self. I remembered that I just need to practice gentleness and self-compassion. When we stuff up or we react in a way we don't want to, or we judge or criticise, we can gently remind ourselves that we are practicing. We can reflect, forgive ourselves and continue on this brave human journey, while practicing how we choose to show up in this wild world.     It is only human to think that when we do this, that and the next thing on our list, we will get to our destination. Right? Well, what if there is no destination? On this episode, I share how I got so focused on getting to my holiday destination in 2 days time, checking things off my list, that I forgot to stay present and enjoy the journey of planning for my holiday. I remembered that I am on a journey to a journey within a journey. Make sense? Lol! When we apply this to the conscious awakening and healing journey, and realise there is no destination, we can experience more joy and freedom.     *Note: trigger warnings within episode: domestic violence and suicide (no detail) * I'm humbled to share my first episode, in which I share how life cracked me open to my healing journey, along with some of my core principles of healing from lived experience. I hesitated about sharing some of my past story because I'm no longer 'in my story.' That is, I'm no victim, I'm not even a survivor of trauma and abuse. I am both Healed... and Healing. I decided to share because I want you to know where I've come from, so you know that if I can do this, so you can you! In this episode, you'll also hear about some of the core principles in which I live by: Life happens for us, not to us. (Rebecca Campbell quote.) When we practice looking for wisdom and learnings from the challenges of life, even the big ones, we have the opportunity to grow and discover more of who we are at soul level. You are your own healer. I (or any healer/coach/mentor you work it) bring my skills and gifts while holding the space and the vibration. It is your choice to match the vibration and receive healing. It is your commitment to aligned practice on your healing journey. Don't give your power away to anyone, amazing, brave human. Healed... and Healing..You are perfect and whole with nothing to fix, exactly as you are. AND to be on a healing journey of self-discovery creates more joy, more peace, more fulfillment, more authenticity and alignment in your life.
