    Tasha Ponton is a modern spiritual healer. She's been on a healing path since a young age, having grown up in a spiritual household - she was taught to read Tarot by her mother at the age of eight - but it was only after a life coaching session, when the phrase "sound healing" popped into her head, that she began to pursue healing as a vocation. Through her company Solaris Sound Healing she now offers a unique blend of sound healing, Tarot and shamanism, treating individuals, couples and groups both in-person and online.

    Massage and the Jaw with Claire Sands

    In this episode of Healing Voices a conversation with massage therapist Claire Sands of Massage on the Mind explores her specialism of facial massage, which includes treating issues related to dysfunction of the temperomandibular joint - the joint which connects the jaw bone to the skull. Symptoms of TMJ dysfunction include clicking and popping sounds, chronic jaw tension, teeth clenching and grinding, headaches, migraines and even heavier periods. Jamie and Claire talk about her journey into becoming a massage therapist, massaging faces, the muscles around the jaw and their role in TMJ problems, assessing jaw tension, taking a whole-body approach to TMJ massage, the differing prevalence of TMJ disorders in men and women, how modern life has affected the shape of our jaws and facial bones, mindfulness meditation and yin yoga.
