    14. i.. Surrender...

Episode 14: Season (1) finale. Throughout this season of my life, I've really had to be honest about the very difficult hardships I've endured in life... from early childhood, throughout my teens and my early twenties... after experiencing such intense moments, seeing the wildest things, and just generally having the most interesting stories, I find that my ability to dig deeper and find inner sight into things, has expanded my capacity to be vulnerable when I need to be. That's what HEARTINNERMOST Season One has been all about; entering a space of surrender - different kinds of surrender... the comfortable enjoyable kind and the stripping and overbearing kind. The four pillars have been a channel to learn how surrendering is a final act, when we surrender to purpose, and live in truth.. or surrender to pain, and live in need of healing and shelter... surrendering to our passions, our pleasures... what worlds get created from the abundance of our hearts? Letting go, releasing control, allowing greater purpose to transpire. Admitting to the truth that we are not all mighty, we are not all powerful and we do not know the outcome of most circumstances. Let's face it, we've all had to surrender - to the things that we simply can not manipulate. When we're not the boss, or the author of how things turn out, we find it extremely uncomfortable to say it is well or it is okay. It's not always easy to accept difficult realities. However, when we opt to understand this in/from new perspectives, something in us embraces these various hard truths with strength, clarity, grace and wisdom. This means not being defensive when we're met with honest criticism. When we're forced to watch our shadows unfold, as we face all types of darkness; we should do this with maturity and humility, gratitude and curiosity. Could we imagine the meaning of surrendering to be about feeling great levels of safety - the kind of place where one would land without insecurity. Answer this question: When you think about surrender(ing) what comes to mind?

    11. Friday feels, for real! - WYW

Episode 11: Friday carries a ffeffeeling. For some of us, it feels like a deep relief. For others (finally), celebration. A long and deep exhale after a long full week. Here is your gentle reminder that we've made it safely to the weekend. "Mama we made it!" Selah.. Welcome to Feel Good Friday. Receive this personalised extention from me to you, to think differently about goodness. Goodness baby...! Not as something superficial or fake, but as something deeply personal, heartfelt, primitive, human. What does it actually mean to feel good? Think Passion, think Pleasure, think Purpose... hey, think Pain! Let's expand our thoughts around goodness being something we can experience alongside life's complexities? In this feel good flow of a listening experience, listeners are tuned in to explore the many ways goodness has been understood throughout our lives, cultures, philosophies and faith. We consider its relationship with joy, purpose, gratitude, and ultimately, with God Himself. His nature. Long before goodness became something we pursued, it was something He declared. From the very beginning, creation itself bore witness to the goodness of its Creator. Perhaps that is why our heartinnermost stays seeking to connect... AND IT WAS GOOD. Another good moment to reflect. Hope you're enjoy the pod, Dear Listener ! Here's some food for thought: Do I believe God's goodness only when life feels good? What does God's goodness look like in seasons where my prayers feel like they remain unanswered?Have we become so accustomed to hardship that goodness now feels unfamiliar? How often do I tell myself lies about what is good for me?What does goodness feel like to me?Take your time with these ones... Perhaps over the weekend. Love,

    10. Thankful, it's Thursday - WYW

Episode 10: Wow. Ten episodes of this very interesting podcast. There feels to be no more fitting theme for this milestone than gratitude. Welcome to the fourth instalment of Working Your Week. Hello, Dear Listener. Thank you for being here. Thank you for sharing your listening ear with me. Thank you for choosing to engage with your heart in ways that only your innermost can understand. I am so glad, and so grateful that we get to experience life in moments. Your attention, and mine, make for a special moment. I am thankful. This episode is an invitation to reflect on gratitude, not simply as something we express, but as a way of living. Living my life like I'm grateful!! Life is beautiful. It is also incredibly difficult. Somehow, the two have always existed together. Though even in the thickness of uncertainty, there is still breath in our lungs, beauty to behold, people to love, lessons to learn, and another day of Mercy, where we get to begin again. In this listening experience, Pelo invites listeners to explore what happens when gratitude is absent, how easily our attention can become consumed by what is missing, and how a grateful heart has the metaphysical power to realign the way we experience the world. Not because our circumstances suddenly change, but because we begin noticing the goodness that has quietly been with us all along. An invisible, and beautiful Truth. Why not think of gratitude as a frequency. A posture. A practice. One that opens our heartinnermosts to receive more joy, more wonder, and more of itself. What are we giving our attention to? And what might change if we chose to be thankful, not only when life is good, but because life, in all its complexity, is still a gift? Let's think about it all, and say to the all.... "you're welcome and thank you!" Ask yourself this: Why should people be grateful for me? What have I been calling "normal" that is actually quite extraordinary? What I likely taking for granted in this chapter of my life?

    9. Well, it's Wednesday - WYW

Episode 9: Well, it's Wednesday... I think that calls for a mid-week, pause. What does it really mean to be well? Wellness has become one of the defining conversations of our time, everyone is constantly on about matcha and pilates, to fit the social mold of 'taking care of myself'. I think our understanding of Wellness is often fragmented. We associate it with health, productivity, self-care, balance, or success. But perhaps wellness is something far more expansive, and far more expensive. Or rather, the neglect of our true wellness, is where it becomes expense. Perhaps it is less about what we achieve, and more about the quality of the lives we cultivate from the inside out. The.Inside.Out. Our heartinnermost. This episode is an invitation to consider wellness as a way of being. A continual practice of tending to our sacred and private lives; our minds, our bodies, our heart space, our relationships, our spirituality, our philosophies, and the many stories that quietly shape how we move through the world. There is something deeply symbolic about a well. A well does not produce water only when it is needed; it offers what has been gathered over time. Similarly, we are all becoming wells. Day by day, experience by experience, relationship by relationship, we are filling ourselves with something. The question is not whether we are filling our wells, but with what. And when life inevitably comes to draw from us, what will it find? Perhaps wellness is found in the quiet integration of our humanity. By allowing purpose to give us direction, passion to give us just the right energy, pleasure to remind us to satisfaction, and pain to deepen our capacity for compassion, wisdom, and grace. Wellness is not the absence of hardship, but about the tools we leverage to cultivate wholeness when we may be feeling, spent. Our relationship with wellness is also deeply personal and is constantly evolving. What it meant to be well in one season of life may no longer serve us in another. As we grapple with our identity, our choices, the foundation of our meditations... as we grow, our understanding of fulfilment, rest, meaning, community, and abundance grows with us. Wellness is rarely ours alone. The quality of our inner lives inevitably becomes the quality of our shared lives. It shapes the way we listen, the way we lead, the way we love, the way we create, and the atmosphere we carry into every room we enter. Our wellness becomes something others experience. What better idea to filter through in the middle of our Working Week. The invitation is not simply to pursue wellness, but to embody it. Feel it through your entire being. We want to become people whose hearts are well-watered. People whose presence nourishes. Journal the answers to these questions about Wellness: What brings me a sense of Wellness, within? What is the quality of my Wellness? What fills my well? And what kind of life flows from it? You're welcome.

    8. (Ch)(yous)(day) - WYW

Episode 8: I am so happy to have you here for the second day listening experience of the series; Working Your Week. It's Tuesday, spelt like this: "Chooseday". Today we focus on making choices. I used to say, "Choose yourself Tuesday". Therefore, welcome to this particular moment in time, where you're encouraged to be your own centre of choice today. Choice is one of the quietest expressions of power. It doesn't have to be the dramatic, life-altering decisions we spend months preparing for, but simply the ordinary, small choices. Our intentional and unintentional choices accumulate into our ways of being. The thoughts we entertain. The conversations we avoid. The boundaries we honour (or choose not to). The stories we continue telling ourselves. The ones we decide to rewrite. If Monday invited us to be meditative and listen, then Chooseday encourages asks us to respond. To make active choices. Ours is to make these not from urgency, or from fear, not from habit but from meaningful awareness retrieved from the day before. Every choice is also a trade-off. To choose one thing is to let go of another. To say yes is, inevitably, to say no... too. I believe that wisdom isn't found in making perfect decisions, but in making conscious, well-informed ones. To our best ability, of course. Choose Yourself Chooseday is not an invitation towards selfishness. It is an invitation towards responsibility and accountability, through active participation, in our Working Week. This conversation is a passive reminder that we are not merely reacting to life, but rather we should be participating in it. Who's the main character again? We have been given the quiet privilege of Free-Will... to decide what deserves our attention, our energy, our affection and our time. Choosing self is not necessarily about putting oneself above others. Maybe it is about choosing the self that God is proud of, the self that makes powerful and pure choices. Who are we, if we're defined by our choices? Today is an invitation to reclaim our authorship. To take back our power. To own our narrative. Catch it, feel it, let it serve you. Stay Loved and Blessed. Reflect on these questions, and answer them on a Tuesday: Which choices in my life are truly mine, and which have quietly been inherited from expectation, fear, or habit? If today became the beginning of a new chapter, what decision would my future self thank me for making?Where have I surrendered my power by believing I have no choice, when perhaps I have simply forgotten that I do?

    7. MMMonday - WYW

Episode 7: Welcome to the first instalment of Working Your Week ... a gentle invitation to begin your week with intention, rather than madness. Mondays have a reputation for asking much from and of us. They arrive carrying expectation, structure, routine, and the quiet pressure to begin...again. Yet, before we move, before we respond, before the week gathers its pace and then miles on with momentum, perhaps there is value in simply... pausing. Meaningful Meditative Monday is an invitation to return to ourselves before we get back to our 'serious' responsibilities. To consider meaning before all the madness, and mighty moves we intend to make. This episode invites us to think about Purpose before productivity and Presence before performance. Join me for a breath. Meditation, in this space, is not about emptying the mind, but about creating room within it. It is the quiet discipline of paying attention — to our thoughts, our heartinnermost, our desires, our fears, and perhaps, to the gentle whisper of God beneath the noise of the week ahead. God speaks in the mediation of our hearts and mind, Dear Listener! What if Mondays were less about surviving the week, and more about setting the posture from which that we'll live it from? What if meaning wasn't something we found at the end of our work, but something we carried into it? Meaningful. Meditative. May this episode encourage you dear Listener to begin gently, thoughtfully, and wholeheartedly. The week has arrived. Oh, but so have we. You're welcome. Check this part out! Write these down somewhere... What part of myself needs my attention before it asks for it louder? What intention do I want to carry into this week, before the world begins making decisions for me?If this week became a reflection diary entry, what story would my heart be telling?Love.
