Are we looking for comfort In the wrong places? | Jeremiah 46:1-28

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, and unwavering trust in God—especially in seasons of fear, uncertainty, and shifting foundations. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God’s Word with clarity and conviction, calling believers to stop placing confidence in the world and start living fully anchored in God’s truth. Today’s Message “What Is Your Egypt?” Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Jeremiah 46:1–28 Jeremiah 46 shifts the focus beyond Judah and delivers a powerful message about Egypt—a nation that looked strong, secure, and unstoppable. From a human perspective, Egypt had everything: military power, wealth, influence, and stability. For Judah, Egypt seemed like the obvious solution in a time of crisis. But what looked like strength was already headed for collapse. This chapter reminds us that misplaced trust will always lead to disappointment. The very thing Judah believed could save them was the very thing God was about to judge. Egypt could not protect them—because Egypt itself was not secure. Jeremiah 46 isn’t just about a nation—it’s about the human tendency to run toward something other than God when fear rises. It confronts the question we all must answer: What are we really trusting? Key Takeaways • Anything we trust more than God will eventually fail • What looks strong in the world may already be under God’s judgment • Fear often drives us to false sources of security • Earthly power cannot provide lasting protection • God alone is a faithful and unshakable refuge • Jesus is not a temporary solution—He is a faithful Savior who never leaves • Trusting the wrong thing can lead to spiritual collapse • God’s promises remain, even when everything else falls apart • The safest place is not in worldly strength—but in God’s presence Today’s Reminder Judah looked at Egypt and saw security. God looked at Egypt and saw weakness. They saw protection—God saw judgment. They saw a solution—God saw a problem. How often do we do the same? When life becomes uncertain, we run—to money, careers, relationships, influence, or control. Not because those things are inherently wrong—but because we begin to trust them more than God. Jeremiah 46 reminds us: every “Egypt” eventually falls. The job can disappear. The economy can shift. The relationship can fail. The plan can collapse. But God remains. Twice in this chapter, God speaks directly to His people: “Do not fear… for I am with you.” That is the promise—not that life will be easy, but that God will be faithful. So the question is simple—but deeply personal: What is your Egypt? What are you trusting more than God? Where do you run when fear takes hold? What do you believe will save you? Because Egypt promises security—but delivers disappointment. Jesus promises salvation—and delivers every time. When Faithfulness Feels Forgotten | Jeremiah 45

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Today's Message: "When Faithfulness Feels Forgotten" Speaker: Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Jeremiah 45:1–5 Have you ever thought, "Lord, I've been faithful... so why does it feel like everyone else is getting ahead except me?" Jeremiah 45 is the shortest chapter in the book, but it contains a powerful lesson for anyone who feels overlooked, discouraged, or forgotten. It centers on Baruch, Jeremiah’s behind-the-scenes secretary. After years of faithful service, Baruch hit a breaking point amid national collapse. God met his discouragement by exposing his heart: "Do you seek great things for yourself? Seek them not." God wasn't rebuking success; He was rebuking self-centered ambition. Sometimes God's greatest blessing is teaching us that His glory is greater than our recognition. Key Takeaways & Reflection Visibility vs. Significance: God notices the vital work done behind the scenes. Heaven's Hall of Fame is filled with people most have never heard of. Faithful People Get Discouraged: Discouragement isn't proof you are outside God’s will; sometimes it means you are right in the middle of it. Success is Obedience: Kingdom success is measured by obedience, not earthly applause or results. The Ultimate Reward: The greatest reward for serving God is not what He gives us—it is God Himself. Questions to Ask: What area am I refusing to surrender? Am I mistaking God's patience for His permission? If God removed everything except Himself, would He still be enough? Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, and unwavering trust in God. Led by Lee and Jaclyn Arnold, we teach God's Word with clarity and conviction, challenging believers to surrender fully to His will. Don't Ask God If You've Already Decided | Jeremiah 42

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, and unwavering trust in God—especially in seasons of uncertainty, fear, and decision-making. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God’s Word with clarity and conviction, challenging believers to stop seeking approval for their plans and start surrendering fully to God’s will. Today’s Message “Don’t Ask God If You’ve Already Decided” Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Jeremiah 42:1–22 Jeremiah 42 reveals a powerful and convicting moment in the life of Israel’s remnant. After chaos, fear, and uncertainty, the people come to Jeremiah asking him to seek God on their behalf. Their words sound humble. Their request sounds sincere. They promise obedience—whatever God says, they will do. But beneath their spiritual language lies a hidden truth: they had already decided to go to Egypt. This chapter exposes the danger of selective obedience—when we ask God for guidance but only intend to follow it if it aligns with what we already want. The people weren’t asking for direction—they were asking for confirmation. And when God’s answer finally comes after ten days, it’s clear, direct, and good: stay, trust, and obey. But they reject it. Jeremiah 42 challenges us to examine the condition of our own hearts. Are we truly seeking God’s will—or just hoping He agrees with ours? Key Takeaways • God cannot be deceived by outward sincerity when the heart is already decided • Asking for guidance without intention to obey is spiritual deception • Delayed obedience is still disobedience • Selective obedience is rebellion disguised as faith • God’s will often requires trust over perceived safety • Fear can drive us toward “Egypt” instead of obedience • God’s answers may take time—but they are always clear and trustworthy • True faith seeks God’s direction, not His endorsement • The safest place is not where life feels easiest—but where God says to stand Today’s Reminder The people in Jeremiah 42 sounded spiritual—but they were not surrendered. They asked God to speak, but they had no intention of following Him if the answer didn’t match their plans. How often do we do the same? We pray for direction while already leaning toward our own decision. We ask for clarity when God has already spoken. We seek peace—not through obedience—but through justification. Jeremiah waited ten days to hear from the Lord. The people couldn’t wait to ignore Him. God’s message was simple: Stay where you are. Trust Me. Do not be afraid. But Egypt looked safer. Jeremiah 42 reminds us that what feels safe isn’t always right—and what is right often requires surrender, patience, and trust. The real question is not: “Has God spoken?” The real question is: Will you obey what He already said? Because the most dangerous place a believer can live… is pretending to seek God while resisting His answer. When Fear Takes Over Faith | Jeremiah 41;1-18

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries 🔥 Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, courage, and unwavering obedience—especially when fear, confusion, and chaos attempt to take control. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God’s Word with clarity and conviction, calling believers to fear God above people and to trust Him even when the world feels unstable. Today’s Message “When Fear Takes Over Faith” Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Jeremiah 41:1–18 📖 Jeremiah 41 shows us what happens when truth is ignored, warnings are dismissed, and fear replaces faith. Leadership collapses. Betrayal unfolds. Innocent lives are lost. And instead of running to God, people run to the world for security. This chapter is not just a historical account of political assassination—it is a sobering picture of spiritual collapse. Gedaliah ignores godly counsel. Ishmael allows selfish ambition to turn into murder and devastation. Johanan acts courageously at first—but ultimately allows fear to drive him away from trusting the Lord. When people stop fearing God, chaos fills the vacuum. Key Takeaways • Ignoring godly warnings invites disaster • Sin often disguises itself as friendship • Evil rarely announces itself honestly • Selfish ambition always leaves casualties • Discernment matters—spiritual language does not equal spiritual integrity • Courage in one season does not guarantee faithfulness in the next • Fear exposes where we truly place our trust • Running to the world will never bring lasting security • Obedience to God is always the safest place to stand 🛡️ Today’s Reminder Gedaliah believed kindness alone would protect him. Ishmael believed entitlement justified violence. Johanan believed Egypt would offer more security than obedience. All three were wrong. Jeremiah 41 reminds us that it is never safer to disobey God. When fear takes over faith, even good intentions lead to destructive outcomes. Egypt represents every worldly solution we run to when trusting God feels risky—money, control, politics, relationships, success, comfort. But peace is not found there. The safest place in your life is not the place with the least resistance—it is the place where God told you to stand. Truth Statements • Fear replaces faith when God’s Word is ignored • Sin is never isolated—it always affects others • Discernment is essential in unstable times • Courage without trust eventually collapses • Obedience to God is safer than worldly security The question Jeremiah 41 forces us to answer is simple and searching: When fear rises… where do you run? Do you run toward God—or back to Egypt? Because faith that stands firm isn’t proven in calm seasons—but in moments of uncertainty, risk, and pressure. God Keeps Score | Jeremiah 39:1-18

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with surrendered obedience, unshakable faith, and courage that holds fast under pressure. We believe truth matters, obedience costs something, and God always keeps the score. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God’s Word with clarity and conviction, calling believers to stand firm when compromise feels easier than faithfulness. Today’s Message “God Keeps the Score” Lee Arnold Live Scripture: Jeremiah 39:1–18 Jeremiah 39 records the fulfillment of everything God warned Judah about for decades. The city of Jerusalem falls. Judgment arrives. Choices made in secret are exposed in public. Leaders who refused truth face devastating consequences, while those who trusted God—even quietly and courageously—are remembered, protected, and rewarded. This chapter reminds us that God is never indifferent to obedience or compromise. He sees every decision. He remembers every stand. And He always proves faithful to those who trust Him—no matter how small or unseen their faithfulness may seem. Key Takeaways • God always keeps His Word—both promises and warnings • What we ignore today often determines what we endure tomorrow • Delayed judgment does not mean dismissed judgment • Fear-driven leadership leads to destruction • Obedience may cost us in the moment but saves us in eternity • God sees faithful servants even when people overlook them • Mercy triumphs for those who trust and act in faith • God’s rewards are certain, though not always immediate Today’s Reminder Zedekiah heard the truth repeatedly—yet delayed obedience until it was too late. Jeremiah stood firm—steadfast, rejected, imprisoned, and ignored—yet God never abandoned him. And in the midst of national collapse, God singled out one faithful man, Ebed-melech, and promised him deliverance simply because he trusted the Lord and acted with courage. This chapter proves a timeless truth: Whatever a person sows, they will reap. We may think we are the exception. We may believe time has erased the consequences. But God’s justice is precise, patient, and unavoidable. God sees every act of faithfulness. God remembers every quiet prayer. God keeps the score—perfectly. Truth Statements • Standing for truth will often cost you • Weak leadership enables devastating outcomes • Obedience may bring hardship, not comfort • God always sees and sends help in His timing • Fear of people will keep us from God’s best The question Jeremiah 39 leaves us with is sobering and personal: When obedience costs you something—will you stand, or will you run? When the pressure comes—will you ring the bell, or hold your ground? Because in the end, applause on earth fades—but heaven remembers faithfulness. Encounters with Jesus, Changed Lives | Mark 5: 21-43

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with unwavering faith, surrendered obedience, and confident trust in Jesus — even when fear, delay, or impossible circumstances press in. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God’s Word with clarity, conviction, and compassion, calling people to authentic faith that endures in every season of life. Today’s Message “Don’t Be Afraid; Just Believe – An Encounter with Jesus: Jairus” Live with Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Robert Tavares Scripture: Mark 5:21–43 In Mark 5, we encounter Jairus — a respected synagogue leader who faces every parent’s worst fear: the impending loss of a child. Though prominent and respected, Jairus humbles himself publicly at Jesus’ feet, desperate and dependent on the only One who can help. Along the way, fear grows as the situation worsens, delays test his patience, and hope seems lost when death arrives. Yet Jesus speaks a timeless command that still challenges every believer today: “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” This passage reminds us that faith is not proven when things improve — but when circumstances collapse and we continue walking with Jesus anyway. Jairus’ encounter shows us that Jesus is enough in every stage of the crisis, from fear… to delay… to impossibility. Key Takeaways • An encounter with Jesus changes everything • God receives both the prominent and the overlooked who seek Him • Humility and desperation open the door to genuine faith • Delays do not mean denial — Jesus is never late • Faith must endure when situations move from difficult to impossible • Fear and faith cannot coexist — one must be dismissed • Jesus’ word is greater than any diagnosis, report, or circumstance • Surrounding yourself with faithful believers strengthens hope • Jesus has absolute authority over sickness, despair, and even death Today’s Reminder Many people believe in Jesus when hope still seems possible — but Jairus teaches us how to believe when hope appears gone. Jairus trusted Jesus when his daughter was dying, kept believing when she died, and witnessed God’s power when Jesus spoke life where death ruled. Faith is not about understanding the delay. Faith is choosing to trust the voice of Jesus above every other voice. The question Mark 5 asks each of us is simple: When fear speaks louder than hope, will we panic and quit — or will we only believe? Standing firm means sticking out

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with surrendered, lasting obedience — not a faith that bends when it’s challenged. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, we teach God’s Word with clarity and conviction, calling people to an authentic faith that endures in every season. Today’s Message “The Cost of Standing Firm” – Live with Lee Arnold Scripture: Jeremiah 38:1–28 In Jeremiah 38, the prophet Jeremiah boldly speaks God’s truth in a culture that rejects it. Instead of being celebrated, he is opposed, silenced, and thrown into a pit — all for obeying God. This chapter reveals the reality every believer must face: Standing for truth will bring pressure, opposition, and sacrifice — but obedience always honors God. Key Takeaways • Truth often sounds like treason to a culture committed to compromise • Weak leadership enables evil when fear replaces conviction • Obedience to God does not guarantee comfort — it may bring hardship • God always has a faithful remnant watching • Fear of people will keep us from God’s best • Hearing truth is not the same as obeying truth Today’s Reminder Many people want God’s blessing, protection, and provision — but resist His instruction, correction, and authority. Jeremiah refused to compromise, even when obedience cost him everything. King Zedekiah heard the truth — but feared people more than God. The question Jeremiah 38 asks each of us is simple: Will we choose comfort and compromise… or pressure and obedience? From collecting taxes to making miracles. God not only uses our past but redeems it

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with surrendered, lasting obedience — not a faith that bends when it’s challenged. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, we teach God’s Word with clarity and conviction, calling people to authentic faith that endures in every season. Today’s Message Guest teaching by Robert Tavares – Director of HTS Scripture: Gospel of Matthew 9:9–13 Also referenced: Gospel of Mark 2:14–17, Gospel of Luke 5:27–32 In this powerful encounter, Jesus calls a man most people despised — a tax collector named Matthew. In first-century Israel, tax collectors were viewed as traitors, corrupt, and spiritually unclean. They were wealthy, but socially rejected and spiritually isolated. Yet Jesus does something unexpected. He stops. He sees Matthew. And He says two life-changing words: “Follow Me.” In that moment, everything changes. Key Takeaways • Jesus calls people others overlook or reject • A true encounter with Jesus requires leaving the old life behind • Your past does not disqualify you — God can redeem it for His purpose • Following Jesus often means surrendering comfort, status, or security Matthew immediately leaves his tax booth — walking away from wealth, power, and his old identity — to follow Christ. He then invites his friends, fellow tax collectors and sinners, to meet Jesus as well. Today’s Reminder Many people believe they must clean up their lives before coming to Christ. But Jesus’ call is simple: “Follow Me.” He doesn’t say fix your life first. He says come as you are. Jesus came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
