Grammy-Nominated Mike TV of Get Set Go explores the triumphs and tribulations of being a fiercely DIY indie-rocker at a point in time where music is growing perpetually less lucrative even as its reach is expanding across the globe. Weaving stories and songs together into a seamless narrative, this groundbreaking one-man-show is as fearless, as vulnerable, as humorous, as defiant and as obstinate as the band's actual music. Featuring five brand-new recordings of hits, new and old, for each episode, this must-listen experience is a raw and often hilarious dive into the heart of independent rock and roll.

The Gift of Surprise
In this episode, Mike TV discusses storytelling and how giving the audience a little agency can allow for myriad experiences of the very same piece of art. This, he argues, is something to be embraced and cherished and pursued. Perhaps not with every song or story but, sometimes, leaving room for multiple interpretations invites the audience to consider and hopefully, come away with a more nuanced and less black-and-white perspective about the world around them. Which, sad to say, seems to be less in favor today than ever.
This episode features the songs I'll Come Around, My Bike My Love, A Wound that Never Bleeds, A Heat That Kills, and Child of God. -
The Secret of My Success
In this episode, Mike TV discusses the prerequisites necessary to endure failure and upset, frustration and setbacks, to the point that a person is dropped to their knees, and yet, somehow, they climb back to their feet, dust themselves off, and begin again. What is it that inspires some people to persevere where others falter? What inspires a person to keep climbing back into the ring after they have receive a sound pummeling?
This episode features brand-new recordings of the following Get Set Go tracks: Light It Up, Into the Deep, Secret of My Success, We Will Be Stars, From a Little Room in Downtown. -
The Trouble With Being Poor
In this Episode, Mike TV explores poverty, and how it effects all people, no matter their economic status. Told through the lens of Mike's own struggles with money. Being impoverished, or just-barely-better-than, while simultaneously releasing hundreds and hundreds of songs, multiple books, thousands of live-performances, and now two seasons of a podcast, Mike makes the case that work and working hard isn't necessarily the recipe for climbing out of financial hell. But if it's not hard work, what is it? What happens when working smarter and working for what your heart wants don't exactly match up?
This episode features brand-new recordings of The Cost of Everything, Working Class Poor, The Trouble With Being Poor, Today is Your Birthday, and Everybody's Working.

Listen to this!
Such wonderful storytelling and musicianship. It’s like if “The Moth” and “This American Life” were songwriters.
